How you will make history here…
 

The Senior Manager, Regional Operational Excellence is accountable for implementing Campbell Way of Working - Operational Excellence (C-WoW OpEx) across the group of 4-6 plants. Campbells Way of Working - Operational Excellence encompasses both a Priming Kit and a Playbook. The Regional Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for ensuring standardization of systems, processes & tools. The Regional Operational Excellence Manager is also responsible for driving standardization & maturity of least one pillar across the entire Network of 23 plants. This is a critical role with oversight for the implementation of World Class operational excellence strategies to optimize supply chain improvements and improve all metrics in the Balanced Scorecard.  This role requires close collaboration with key Supply Chain functions such as Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Finance, Human Resources, Safety and Logistics. This position will have exposure to and will interface with site Operational Excellence leads and Plant Leadership Teams.
 

This position is responsible for deploying the Campbell’s Operational Excellence strategy and approach to drive the Supply Chain performance to world class levels. The role requires an Operational Excellence practitioner who can provide direction in the development and implementation of deployment plans to drive improvements across multiple plants.
 

This is the “internal organizational expert” level, and is recognized as an expert and advisor within the organization. They have in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in their own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function. This individual anticipates internal and/or external business challenges, recommends processes, product or service improvements, solves unique and complex problems that has a broad impact on the business and contributes to the development of functional strategy. They operate with broad latitude in a complex environment and lead and contribute to the development of company plant objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. They may direct the activities of others.

What you will do…

  • Pillar Teams: Coach and support all C-WoW pillar teams at sites within the region to drive improvements across the site Balance Scorecard. Drive loss awareness leveraging tools such as Zero Loss Analysis and Value Stream Mapping. Lead and support Kaizen and Pillar events to drive improvements and build site capabilities. Conduct Maturity Assessments through system assessments, data analysis, observations and interviews. Coach pillar teams to develop deployment plans to improve Maturity. Ensure deployment plans are adhered to and regular stakeholder check ins such as Project Operating Committee (POC) meetings and Sponsor update meetings occur to ensure C-WoW program sustainability and track progress.
  • Capability Building: Work with the site OpEx lead and the plant leadership team to build the appropriate OpEx capabilities at the site. Leverage pull forward strategy prior to OpEx events to accelerate capability building across the region and Network. Execute OpEx capability training sessions for the plant leadership teams, pillar teams, front line leadership teams and team members.
  • Cost Management: Ensure improvements identified are rolled into the plant enabler program to capture savings. Track pillar team key performance indicators to ensure improvements are sustained and countermeasures are developed if needed. Coach and support Zero Loss Analysis and Value Stream Mapping to identify loss opportunities and build the enabler pipeline.
  • Leadership: Ability to coach, work collaboratively and successfully influence stakeholders. Ability to effect change throughout an organization by leading through others. Demonstrated program management skills with ability to deliver results across multi-site manufacturing operations. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, integrity and trust and the ability to motivate. Strong analytical skills and business acumen. Ability to successfully work in a cross functional environment.

Who you will work with…

You will work with the regional OpEx and operations teams, and employees at several manufacturing facilities.

What you bring to the table (must have) …

  • High school diploma degree required
  • 10+ years of cross-functional manufacturing experience with a strong understanding of Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • 80% national travel required

It would be great to have (nice to have)…

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Engineering.
  • Consumer Packaged Goods experience strongly preferred.
  • Certifications in Lean or Lean Six Sigma preferred. ASQ Certification Lean Six Sigma Black Belt a plus.
  • Experience leading / executing Operational Excellence processes and tools and organizational learning and development programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced working knowledge in concepts of Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Autonomous Maintenance and Asset Care & Reliability. Strong knowledge in Focused Improvement.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in improving organizational capability through learning and development programs and/or High Performance Teams.
  • Excellent leadership skills, compelling communication skills, and the ability to inspire, engage and motivate.
  • Capability to support multiple sites to ensure targets are being achieved.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$133,400-$191,800

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
