The Senior QA Analyst will support quality efforts in an open-world game, focusing on test planning and execution while collaborating with the Narrative Design team.
Summary
We are looking for a short-term Senior QA Analyst to support quality efforts on our next-generation, open-world game. In this role, you will be embedded within a development pod, supporting our Narrative Design team and testing related gameplay systems. You will take ownership of test planning and execution, as well as providing clear, actionable feedback to the team.
Core Responsibilities
- Champion quality as an embedded tester within an assigned development
pod. - Create, maintain, and execute test plans within your area of focus.
- Organize and execute PC and console testing across relevant content areas.
- Conduct upstream testing directly within Unreal Editor, as needed.
- Collaborate with game designers to ensure a world-class Narrative
experience. - Build strong working relationships with development partners to ensure
clear communication of QA processes and priorities. - Partner with other QA team members to identify and implement process
improvements. - Provide progress and status updates through clear written and verbal
communication.
Core Qualifications
- 3+ years of game QA experience as a Senior QA Analyst or equivalent role.
- At least 1 shipped AAA title in a role supporting a Narrative Design team.
- Experience with Unreal Engine (preferably UE5).
- Proven ability to create and maintain test plans using tools such as TestRail,
QMetry, or Zephyr. - Experience with bug tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Jira).
- Background supporting Narrative Design teams.
- Experience providing QA support across multiple platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for delivering high-quality player experiences.

- Experience directly with or supporting teams that utilize Articy.
- Experience with open world game development.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Proven ability to drive QA initiatives from end to end.
- Experience mentoring junior QA team members.
Description
- This is a short-term, 3-month engagement with the opportunity to extend.
- Role is on-site in Santa Monica, CA.
- Office is located near downtown Santa Monica – near metro and freeways.
The pay range for this position is $25-$30 per hour. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
