Your role at Dynatrace

As a Program Manager in the Self-Service Knowledge team, you’ll ensure that Dynatrace users find the right information at the right time in the right way. We understand that the key to communicating new product features, feature updates, added value, and potentially breaking changes is through comprehensive and engaging content. Your focus will be in service of the Dynatrace Documentation, but you’ll draw on your experience in enterprise-grade software development to think beyond silos and channels, impacting product development and elevating our outbound product announcements. Your work will reflect a holistic view of the user’s experience with new knowledge. You understand what different users need and how we can evolve our resources to support them. You’ll work together with other passionate, approachable team members to achieve the best possible results for us and our users. Your passion to develop modern, comprehensive, and journey-oriented knowledge for a range of technical end users will help to drive forward strategy and create impactful change. Together, we’ll empower users to solve problems independently – grounded in efficient internal processes and structures.

Main responsibilities:

  • Refinement and evolution of the “What’s new” and release notes programs.
  • Focused coordination and collaboration with Product Management in Self-Service Knowledge and across the Software Engineering org.
  • Coordination and collaboration with Information Developers.
  • Coordination and collaboration with Content Marketing, Outbound Product Marketing.

Your role:

  • Drive the roadmap for a release note and What’s new program.
  • Oversee continuous improvement of how we inspire users to learn more about Dynatrace, ensuring we are clear, concise, comprehensive, and accessible—creating a next-level experience that caters to our user’s diverse needs.
  • Develop and oversee process and content strategies for contributors, ensuing processes allow for increased efficiency and quality.
  • Promote user-centric, cross-channel thinking.
  • Support information strategy initiatives and balance the big picture and actionable, well-defined increments.
What will help you succeed
  • 2+ years of program management experience in a B2B software product environment and 3+ years of experience aligned with technical writing.
  • Experience in defining and executing strategy and governance for software documentation.
  • You are a creative self-starter who can envision a future for enterprise software documentation above and beyond what we can do today.
  • Passion for devising enterprise-grade strategies and roadmaps for technical documentation.
  • You start with the “why” behind your strategy to motivate and inspire.
  • You understand docs-as-code and are itching to use new technologies (LLM, gen AI) to take our experience ecosystem to the next level and let content contributors focus on what they do best.
  • By leveraging your hands-on technical expertise, you draw insightful conclusions validated by customer analytics, ensuring consistent results amidst diverse contributors and stakeholders.
  • You excel in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, articulating your vision and plans.
  • You are familiar with Markdown.
  • You understand software development lifecycles and have a strong architectural background.
  • You understand technical topics such as software intelligence, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, application security, and SaaS.
  • You enjoy sharing your knowledge and skills with other team members and learning from others.
  • You’re willing to push the envelope and engage stakeholders to try new things, balanced by a love of metrics that support your work.

Compensation and Rewards
  • We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
  • Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 60.000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
