Description

Powered by AI, Vantaca's vision is big! We are the leading AI-native community management performance platform that enables owners and operators, community management teams, boards and associations to work smarter, faster, and with unprecedented insight. More than just accounting and management software, Vantaca is intelligent business operating software that leverages artificial intelligence to automate routine work, surface actionable insights, and help our customers increase revenue, efficiency, flexibility, and control.

Built on modern cloud architecture with a single-platform design, Vantaca combines comprehensive functionality that adapts to 100% of business processes with AI-powered automation that learns and improves over time. Our proactive AI capabilities don't just report on what happened; they predict what's coming and recommend what to do next. From intelligent document processing and predictive analytics to automated workflows and conversational interfaces, we're transforming how community management companies operate.

With seamless integrations across the software and banking ecosystem, we're building the intelligent hub for community management where AI doesn't just assist, it anticipates. Vantaca is focused exclusively on community management and is the trusted technology leader defining the AI-powered future of the community association management industry. We're building something fundamentally different, and our customers are experiencing the competitive advantage that comes from working with truly intelligent software.

Vantaca just achieved unicorn status with a $1.25B valuation, so it's safe to say we're past the "scrappy startup phase." We're not just building a successful company—we're building the category-defining platform that will transform how an entire industry operates.

Vantaca Pay is our embedded payments platform and it’s growing fast, as we are currently supporting millions of homeowners, processing billions in payments annually, and scaling 2x+ annually.

Originally launched to give homeowners a modern way to pay assessments, Vantaca Pay is now evolving into a full payment ecosystem spanning multiple modalities, deeper integration with our core platform, and an expanding surface area that includes B2C services, amenity payments, and marketplace rails. Digital payment adoption is the core growth lever, and this role owns it end-to-end.

You'll own the full Vantaca Pay product surface: homeowner-facing payment experiences, onboarding flows, conversion optimization across all payment modalities, and the experimentation infrastructure that drives adoption. You'll work closely with Engineering, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market to connect product decisions to measurable business outcomes, and you'll have direct access to the data you need to move quickly.

Key OKR’s

  • Increase homeowner monetization rate by 2x+ through conversion of offline check payers
  • Drive significant product differentiation supporting 95%+ attach rate and 100% Vantaca back-book customer conversion
  • Take rate improvement through increasing card adoption as % of total payments by 10%+

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the Vantaca Pay product roadmap, balancing near-term adoption goals with the long-term vision of a full payment's ecosystem
  • Maintain compliance with regulations as the business and payments ecosystem scales
  • Optimize the payment flow - e.g., authorization, fraud, take rates
  • Own homeowner-facing payment experiences across various modalities: QR codes, magic links, SMS reminders, and push notifications.
  • Design and run experiments to improve digital payment conversion, using Pendo and LaunchDarkly to test, measure, and iterate.
  • Partner closely with Engineering to maintain a high-velocity release cadence and ensure specs are clear enough to execute without verbal translation.
  • Define and track KPIs that connect roadmap decisions to business outcomes: conversion rates, attach rates, take rates, and payment volume growth.
  • Pull your own data to answer product questions independently - SQL, Pendo, or equivalent.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market to connect payment product decisions to customer outcomes.
  • Champion self-serve digital payment adoption by ensuring the homeowner experience is intuitive across all touchpoints.
  • Prepare the product for the next frontier: B2C services, amenity payments, and marketplace rails.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-accountability PM team culture.

Requirements

AI-Native Product Management Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, v0, etc.) to accelerate product work—from rapid prototyping of platform architectures and technical documentation to competitive analysis of infrastructure approaches.
  • Experience building interactive prototypes or technical proof-of-concepts using AI-powered tools to validate platform patterns quickly with engineering teams before major infrastructure investment.
  • Comfortable leveraging LLMs for technical research, synthesis, and communication—turning complex platform requirements into clear narratives for business stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Track record of using AI to enhance personal productivity and team velocity, whether through automated workflows, intelligent summarization of technical discussions, or rapid iteration on architectural designs.

High-Growth Payments or D2C Experience
  • Demonstrated ownership of a product surface with real adoption metrics — adoption rates, conversion lifts, and the experiments that moved them
  • Experience with Stripe is strongly preferred
  • Experience optimizing checkout and/or digital payment experiences
  • Experience shipping product in a high-growth environment where priorities shift weekly and execution speed is a competitive advantage
  • Comfort running experiments independently using tools like Pendo, LaunchDarkly, or A/B frameworks — you have a hypothesis, you know how to test it, and you interpret the results
  • Data fluency: self-serve analytics to answer product questions without BI dependencies. SQL is helpful; some form of data access is required
  • Payments or D2C background within vertical SaaS, embedded fintech or high-growth D2C preferred

Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills – comfortable working with product data, funnel metrics, and experiment results to identify friction and communicate data-informed narratives to both technical and business audiences
  • Proven ability to translate business problems into product specs that engineering can execute
  • Strong communication skills – you can make payment strategy clear to ELT and credible to an engineer in the same conversation
  • High agency and self-direction – manages competing priorities, navigates ambiguity, and delivers with limited direction
  • Comfort operating in a high-growth, fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and ownership is earned by doing.

Core Values

  • Always Growing: Likes change and enjoys finding new ways to improve their knowledge and the product. Always ready to learn quickly, helping themselves and the team grow.
  • Win as a Team: Builds trust and works together by making sure everyone communicates well. Actively involved in daily work, working closely with the team, listening to their ideas, and celebrating successes together.
  • Accountability Starts with Me: Notices problems and takes personal action to solve them.
  • Unwavering Commitment to Customer Experience: Regularly talks to residents and management companies, taking personal responsibility to understand what they need, address concerns, and make their experience better with improved Vantaca processes.
  • Innovate Boldly: We challenge the status quo and push boundaries to create meaningful change. We act with urgency and purpose, knowing that innovation drives our success.

Why You Should Join Our Team

  • Unicorn-stage growth: $1.25B valuation, $300M Series C, scaling from 275 to 400+ employees
  • Named on Inc 5000 list of America's Fastest Growing Private Companies
  • Named on Inc 5000 Vet 100 Private Companies list multiple years in a row
  • Winner of Coastal Entrepreneur Award, Technology Category
  • Active employee-led Culture Committee
  • Ongoing industry and professional development trainings available to all employees
  • Multiple leaders on the executive committee recognized as 40 under 40 recipients for contributions to business and community
  • We're playing offense to win! Our product market fit and our world-class employees make us the leader in our space. We're building something cool and people like it here.

We receive many resumes for our open positions and each one is reviewed by a human being on our recruiting team. We will compare your background with the qualifications and requirements for the position.

If you are selected for an interview you will receive an e-mail from someone on our recruiting team with an @vantaca.com email address. It may take some time for us to review all of the applications so give us some time to respond. We appreciate your interest in this role.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
