OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox Corporation

Under the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world’s leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FOX direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform is a new, forward-looking initiative within Tubi Media Group that brings FOX’s unparalleled content portfolio—news, sports, and entertainment—directly to consumers via an innovative subscription streaming service.
Driven by a highly experienced leadership team with extensive backgrounds at the intersections of media, technology, streaming, and content—and built with the full support of Fox Corporation—this venture combines entrepreneurial energy with deep media expertise.
Our vision is to create a unified, modern viewing experience that puts the consumer first—seamlessly integrating live and on-demand content across platforms.
At the intersection of cutting-edge technology and trusted storytelling, this is an opportunity to shape the future of streaming at one of the most pivotal moments in media. We’re assembling a world-class team to deliver on that vision—and we’re just getting started.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Product Manager, Discovery & Engagement, will be responsible for shaping and delivering fresh, intelligent content experiences within FOX One. You will shape how audiences navigate FOX’s Sports, News, and Entertainment offerings, interact with data-rich and editorial content, and deepen their engagement through short-form and emerging content formats.

You’ll blend audience empathy with technical and strategic product leadership to deliver a best-in-class experience that spans editorial curation, personalization, search, and real-time engagement. We’re looking for a product leader fluent in streaming, inspired by innovation across industries, and energized by advancing the role of AI in consumer engagement.

Success in this role is defined by delivering an effortless, deeply personalized product experience that makes FOX One the first destination audiences reach for all things live—across sports, news, and entertainment.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive platform-wide features that enhance how audiences browse, personalize, and enjoy content across both “lean-back” and “lean-in” viewing modes.

  • Lead the integration of AI and LLM-based tools to design and optimize user interfaces for search, including filters, autosuggest, recent activity, and multimodal inputs like voice

  • Drive experimentation and A/B testing to validate new capabilities and refine UX across platforms

  • Build innovative product experiences for major live events that enhance real-time engagement.

  • Lead discovery and product definition efforts by crafting clear product briefs, driving cross-functional ideation, and partnering closely with design, engineering, data analytics, user research, and editorial teams to release each feature.

  • Define and track meaningful KPIs tied to engagement, personalization effectiveness, feature adoption, and retention—leveraging insights to inform and prioritize roadmap decisions.

  • Explore, test, and ship interactive formats including multi-view, gaming, second-screen experiences, dynamic live insights, and other emerging engagement models.

  • Collaborate on expanding editorial and data-driven storytelling formats that enrich content consumption and guide audiences to relevant, timely experiences.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Demonstrated expertise building content-rich digital experiences at scale within a high performing, direct-to-consumer business.

  • Proven ability to integrate AI, personalization, and discovery technologies into consumer-facing products.

  • Lead the integration of AI and LLM-based tools to enable conversational search, semantic understanding, and intent-based retrieval

  • A strong product generalist mindset, able to connect strategy to execution across multiple content verticals and platforms.

  • Experience defining and tracking engagement KPIs; confident working with A/B testing and data analytics to drive decision-making .

  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners and lead execution from concept to launch.

  • Demonstrated familiarity and interest in the future of streaming, media, and generative AI consumer products.

  • Up-to-date fluency in real-time engagement patterns, audience interactivity, and emerging generative AI capabilities.

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience implementing or evaluating generative AI solutions for semantic search, summarization, or chat-based navigation

  • Background in interactive live content - ie. gaming, second-screen experiences, and data-rich products.

  • Experience working with editorial or programming teams to deliver blended human + algorithmic discovery experiences.

  • Passion for experimenting with new UI/UX patterns to enhance user engagement and simplify complex content journeys.

  • A habit of drawing product inspiration from adjacent industries—such as gaming, fintech, social platforms, or e-commerce—to build new, differentiated experiences.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
