Lead high-impact design initiatives across emerging platforms, native mobile, and web, for a global audience.

Partner closely with Product and Engineering to align on goals, priorities, and delivery timelines.

Facilitate design critiques, maintain transparent workflows, and foster cross-functional collaboration.

DESIGN EXCELLENCE & DELIVERY

Deliver high-quality, platform-native experiences across emerging technologies, iOS, Android, and web with attention to detail and brand alignment.

Drive the full design lifecycle—from early explorations and rapid prototyping to refined visual design and developer-ready specs.

Maintain and evolve the design system, building reusable components and scalable patterns to support product growth.

Ensure consistency and craft across projects—even in fast-moving environments and shifting priorities.

Oversee asset handoff, QA, and post-launch refinements to uphold design integrity across every touchpoint.

COMMUNICATION & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ALIGNMENT

Clearly articulate design rationale to cross-functional teams and leadership, influencing direction and decision-making.

Create engaging presentations to communicate vision, progress, and outcomes across stakeholders.

Support team-wide understanding through project updates, all-hands, and syncs.

Qualifications

Expert in Figma (prototyping, components, variables, auto-layout, responsive design, and systems thinking).

5+ years of product design experience with a strong record of shipping mobile and cross-platform experiences.

Bachelor’s degree in design or related field (preferred but not required).

Strong technical skill sets blending new emerging technologies with high-quality creative execution.

Strong foundation in UX/UI principles with platform fluency and strong awareness of emerging trends.

Strong social skills and experience working in global cross-functional teams and with agencies and partners.

Proven experience working within and contributing to design systems at scale.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
