Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Senior Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analysts (level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will work on-site daily in Palmdale, CA and require up to 25% travel or be located in El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA and require up to 50% travel..

The selected candidate will work closely with the Program Leadership to meet the goals and objectives of the AS Business Management organization.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives

  • Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality

  • Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts

  • Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR 12 years of applicable work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree

  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

  • Demonstrated experience in MS Project including, but not limited to, the detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

  • Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

  • Ability and willingness to support implementation on programs.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in material cost management

  • Strong proficiency with EVM

  • Experience with SAP and MPM &/or COBRA

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
