About VGS

VGS is building the trust infrastructure for a new era of commerce. As commerce becomes agentic, payments are increasing dramatically in volume, speed, and complexity, and the companies driving that shift need a foundation they can fully trust.

That's where VGS comes in. We're the world's leader in payment tokenization, trusted by the most innovative AI and Fortune 500 companies, merchants, banks, and fintechs to power modern payments and agentic commerce. We store more than 9 billion tokens and process more than 10 billion monthly interactions, touching a third of all e-commerce. That scale isn't incidental. It's why leading companies embed our universal token vault and credential management platform directly into their stack, taming the complexity of payment data so they can move faster.

Come build the platform that enables modern payments for the world's largest companies. We're helping businesses unlock new possibilities in an industry that never stops moving. And that takes exceptional people.

About the Role

Agentic commerce is moving faster than almost any other area in payments, and VGS is building Agentic Tokens and the infrastructure behind them. The Sr. Partnerships Manager - Agentic, Fintech and Emerging Partnerships will work closely with the Head of Wallets & PSPs, Strategic Partnerships to advance our agentic initiatives, build and manage PSP & Wallet partnerships, and develop new opportunities across fintech and emerging payments.

This role blends hands-on partnership management with market intelligence. You'll help turn partner opportunities into launches and bring partner and market signals back to Sales, Product, and Marketing so that VGS stays ahead as payment workflows evolve.

What You’ll Do
  • Own growth plans for priority agentic, fintech, and emerging partnerships, working closely with the Head of Wallets & PSPs, Strategic Partnerships.

  • Build and manage PSP & Wallet relationships, and work with Product, Engineering, and Ops to expand PSP & Wallet connections and move integrations forward.

  • Identify new product, co-build, and revenue opportunities across agentic initiatives and the broader partner portfolio, and work with relationship leads and internal teams to turn them into launches.

  • Coordinate cross-functional execution, including launch plans, PSP integration requirements, card network dependencies, timelines, and open items.

  • Serve as a strategic point of contact for partner leadership, preparing exec-level business reviews and roadmap discussions across agentic and PSP partnerships.

  • Track trends across AI agents, agent platforms, fintech, card network agentic programs, network tokenization, wallets, and PSPs, and turn them into short, regular briefings and recommendations for GTM, Product, and leadership.

  • Build a repeatable feedback loop that brings partner and market signals into Sales, Product, and Marketing, such as integration needs, competitive moves, requested features, and emerging use cases.

  • Work with the Sales team to qualify and prioritize opportunities across PSPs, agentic companies, fintech, and emerging payment workflows.

  • Help shape positioning, messaging, and packaging for agentic and payments offerings with Product and Marketing.

  • Assess and prioritize inbound partner opportunities, and contribute to partnerships planning across the Product, Direct Revenue, and Referral/Channel opportunity categories.

What You Bring
  • 6+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, strategy, or product-adjacent roles in payments, fintech, PSPs, AI/developer platforms, or agentic companies

  • Hands-on knowledge of payments, including network tokenization, card networks, wallets, and PSPs

  • A record of growing strategic partnerships with large, complex counterparts and managing ongoing partner relationships

  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to turn a flood of information into a clear point of view and recommendation

  • Comfort with technical conversations and with working alongside engineers and partner technical teams to move integrations and launches forward

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including at the exec level

  • A self-starter mindset, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-changing landscape

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with agentic commerce and agentic network tokenization, including network token use in agent-led payment flows

  • Experience building internal intelligence or insights programs

  • Familiarity with data security, PCI, and privacy requirements

We're looking for passionate professionals who take pride in their craft and want to help grow a team tackling some of the most critical problems in payments. People who thrive here are curious by nature, unafraid of hard problems, and motivated by the chance to build something that matters at scale.

If you're driven to make a meaningful impact, work at the leading edge of payment technology, and grow your career alongside a team that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning, you'll feel right at home at VGS.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
