About Team / Role

WEX is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Sr. Partner Solutions Manager to help grow and scale our referral partner ecosystem. In this role, you are the accountable owner of the post-sale partner relationship, responsible for delivering value, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring long-term partner success. This role requires extreme ownership—you are responsible for protecting and growing your accounts, minimizing attrition, driving renewals, and ensuring a world-class partner experience.

This is a highly visible, high-impact role where you’ll blend relationship management, strategy, and hands-on execution. You’ll partner with teams across Sales, Customer Experience (CX), Product, and Marketing to bring go-to-market strategies to life and ensure our referral partners are set up to succeed.

You will serve as the strategic partner and trusted advisor to your partners—deeply understanding their goals, operations, and industry—while aligning WEX’s solutions to help them grow and succeed. Your impact will directly influence account growth and increased annual recurring revenue (ARR) for WEX. Through proactive engagement, strategic planning, and product enablement, you will drive adoption, retention, and long-term loyalty.

  • Serve as the primary post-sale point of contact and strategic advisor for assigned partner accounts

  • Champion partner success through regular touchpoints, planning sessions, and business reviews

🔹 Account Growth & Revenue Impact

  • Take full ownership of account growth and retention, directly contributing to increased ARR for WEX
  • Identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities by aligning WEX capabilities to emerging partner needs
  • Lead the renewal process, ensuring timely execution and clear demonstration of value
  • Use strategic planning and quarterly business reviews to showcase ROI and build expansion roadmaps
  • Support and influence deals by working closely with partner teams and internal stakeholders.

🔹 Product Enablement & Adoption

  • Guide partners through best practices and advanced product features to maximize value
  • Develop enablement plans that support partner-specific business outcomes
  • Drive consistent product utilization to ensure adoption and prevent churn

🔹 Service Ownership & Escalation Leadership

  • Act as an escalation point of accountability for issue resolution and partner satisfaction
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Product, Tech, Service, Compliance, Legal, etc.) to resolve concerns quickly and completely
  • Prevent reactive service by identifying friction points early and proactively with cross functional teams to addressing them
  • Develop relationships at both the executive and field level.

🔹 Communication & Advocacy

  • Proactively share relevant product updates, enhancements, and news
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to internal stakeholders to influence product direction and service improvements
  • Represent the voice of the partner within WEX

🔹 Operational Execution & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of partner status, activity, and opportunities
  • Monitor and report on success metrics such as satisfaction, renewal rate, and revenue expansion
  • Continuously contribute to the evolution of partner success strategies, playbooks, and best practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
  • Maintain internal partner knowledgebase documents

Experience You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5+ years in partner management, account management, customer success or account management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Deep knowledge of HSA, HRA, FSA, Commuter, COBRA, and Direct Billing preferred
  • Strong understanding of Savings & Spending and COBRA regulatory requirements
  • Proven track record of managing strategic relationships and driving account growth
  • Experience with renewals, negotiations, expansions, and achieving retention and revenue targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • High accountability mindset—you take ownership, deliver results, and build trust
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities independently
  • Proficiency in CRM and client engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Experience applying artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning tools to support data analysis, modeling, or automation is considered advantageous.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
