We’re looking for a detail-oriented, data-driven Senior Marketing Specialist, CRM Strategy to join the CRM team, focused on executing strategy-led lifecycle programs across email, push, and SMS. You’ll work across Yahoo verticals—such as Yahoo Sports, Finance, and Mail—to develop and deploy campaigns that engage users throughout their journey, from onboarding to long-term retention.

This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of CRM experience who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, and enjoys building user-centric, personalized experiences that scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support CRM Strategists in translating campaign blueprints into cross-channel lifecycle programs that align with vertical goals.

  • Own campaign development timelines by coordinating strategy, creative, and asset delivery to ensure campaigns launch on schedule.

  • Develop segmented audience strategies based on user behaviors, lifecycle stage, and product interactions—leveraging CRM tools and ESP platforms.
Configure dynamic content and conditional logic to deliver personalized experiences at scale.

  • Maintain quality assurance standards, ensuring campaign consistency across channels, devices, and inboxes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to drive campaign success.

  • Stay current on CRM best practices, evolving trends, and platform capabilities to continuously improve engagement strategies.

  • Partner with Engineering and Data teams to ensure campaigns are powered by accurate, relevant data inputs.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience executing cross-channel CRM programs—specifically across email, push, and SMS for both mobile and desktop platforms.

  • A/B testing expertise, including optimizing subject lines, copy, dynamic content, and creative assets.

  • Experience working on subscription-based or lifecycle-driven CRM programs is highly preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Comfort working independently as well as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.

  • Experience with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools (e.g., Zeta, Stensul, Moveable Ink).

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a clear sense of accountability.

  • Proficiency in essential business tools, including Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and Photoshop.

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Why This Role?

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys shaping CRM strategy and bringing it to life through data-driven execution. You’ll help scale personalized campaigns that drive growth across some of the most well-known brands in the digital space. If you’re curious, strategic, and excited about the power of CRM to connect with millions of users, this is your opportunity to make your mark.

The material job duties and responsibilities of this role include those listed above as well as adhering to Yahoo policies; exercising sound judgment; working effectively, safely and inclusively with others; exhibiting trustworthiness and meeting expectations; and safeguarding business operations and brand integrity.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
