The Sr. Market Development Manager will lead our global single-use bioprocessing portfolio. The successful candidate will set the strategic direction and tactical implementation of activities and results supporting key application areas and executing-to-plan in cross-functional teams.

 

What will you do?

  • Develop strategic, coordinated marketing plans for areas of responsibility, including customer segmentation, competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, and staging and pacing of marketing tactical programs
  • Lead the development of messaging and content for specified applications and workflows for customers in biopharma/biotech segments, conveying strong value propositions and clear product differentiation
  • Acquire, nurture and maintain customer advocates and identify partnership opportunities to drive application content development; leverage partners to adopt our solutions
  • Develop and implement engaging marketing campaigns to achieve measurable results
  • Collaborate and ensure alignment of marketing plans among Product Management, Regional Market Development, R&D, Commercial Leaders, and other collaborators
  • Engage with advertising agencies and marketing program managers to deliver high-quality assets
  • Maintain campaign metrics dashboards to measure the efficiency of marketing activities
  • Propose and complete customer and market research programs to provide key market insights and useful business outcomes
  • Maintain knowledge of the trends and competitive intelligence in the field
  • Partner to develop sales training and support materials
  • Handle marketing budgets and optimize the promotional mix for business impact
  • Act as a brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and communicating our multi-brand strategy in all aspects of our marketing programs
  • Interact with varying levels of internal and external personnel, including direct customer communication, KOL engagement and management, and public presentation

 

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Bioprocessing, Biology or other life science field.
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications or Business, with previous work experience in biotechnology, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industry is also
  • PhD, MS and/or MBA are desirable.

 

Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing strategy and execution, including the development of marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in life sciences or the biopharma/biotech market segment is preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Self-starter and collaborative within project teams, and successful track record working in global, matrix environments, including leading expectations of multiple collaborators across business units and regions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentations to senior leadership and large audiences
  • Exceptional skill leading marketing projects
  • Strong creative intuition on design and messaging that resonates with customers and an ability to learn from previous campaigns to improve on performance
  • Develop and deliver presentations and trainings for a wide variety of audiences, including sales teams, regional marketing and customers
  • Ability to lead project scope, budget and schedule to achieve timely completion of projects
  • Approximately 10% domestic and international travel

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
