As the Senior Manager of Trade Marketing, you will lead the strategic vision and execution of Red Bull North America’s trade marketing efforts across the Convenience and Gas segment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative, insight-driven retail marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, increase shopper engagement, and drive commercial performance at scale.

 

In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Brand Marketing, Shopper Insights, Category Management, Distribution, Operations, and agency partners to conceive, develop, and deliver trade marketing plans, integrated point-of-sale (POS) solutions, and scalable merchandising programs tailored to the specific dynamics of each channel. Your ability to translate shopper and channel insights into compelling in-store experiences will be critical to winning at retail and reinforcing Red Bull’s premium positioning, outperforming competitors, and presenting the brand as the category leader.

 

You will act as a strategic thought partner to senior Sales and Distribution leadership, playing a key role in aligning national initiatives with account-specific plans. As the subject matter expert in POS strategy, cold equipment, and permanent POS tools, you will drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across all retailers within the Convenience and Gas segment. This position requires a combination of visionary thinking, strong cross-functional collaboration, commercial acumen, and a relentless focus on execution to ensure Red Bull remains the most relevant and visible brand at retail.

Job Description

CHANNEL MARKETING STRATEGY & CROSS FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP

Take full ownership of the brand’s visual presence and perception of success in the Convenience & Gas channel.

Build and own the relationship and strategic alignment with Global Trade Marketing partners, particularly in Channel Strategy and permanent POS development.

Manage trade marketing budgets with discipline and foresight, ensuring strategic investments and strong ROI across all channel initiatives.

Build and maintain strong relationships with design and production vendors, managing all work directly with external partners to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to brand standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that consumers view Red Bull as a relevant and premium brand within large-format retail environments.

Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of complex, cross-functional trade marketing programs, ensuring high-impact retail solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business priorities.

Oversee project management frameworks and tools to drive consistency, clarity, and efficiency across all POS and in-store initiatives, while optimizing workflows and resource allocation.

Translate shopper insights, channel dynamics, and customer needs into actionable project plans that deliver measurable value at retail.

Continuously evaluate and improve processes, identifying opportunities to streamline execution, enhance agility, and increase the effectiveness of trade marketing programs.

OWN RETAIL VISIBILITY STRATEGY

Develop and implement trade marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives and strengthen brand presence in the marketplace.

Lead the go-to-market strategy for point-of-sale (POS) in the Convenience and Gas channel.

Define and enhance the “Look of Success” across large-format sub-channels.

Manage custom POS requests for assigned channels to ensure alignment and compliance with business strategy, budget, and brand standards across both printed and permanent POS materials.

Drive trade marketing initiatives through regular market visits and meetings with customers and sales teams.

Identify key account opportunities and develop and implement appropriate action plans.

DEVELOP WINNING INNOVATIONS

Lead the design and development of insight-driven point-of-sale (POS) solutions that meet the needs of assigned customers, align with shopper behavior, and ensure Red Bull appears as the number one brand in store.

Address strategic requirements by collaborating with Head Office Trade Marketing and Procurement, Sales, Operations, and Distribution to meet retailer needs.

Proactively identify new industry innovations and prioritize testing based on business impact and customer needs (e.g., sustainable materials, digital technology).

Shape and influence the development of new POS tools by driving collaboration with Global Trade Marketing, agency partners, and suppliers, ensuring that RBNA priorities are reflected in all tools and solutions.

Implement RBNA marketing strategies to enhance retail presence, ensure compliance, and increase point-of-sale (POS) effectiveness.

Collaborate with the Distribution team to strive for flawless in-store execution at all points of shopper interaction.

Oversee the profiling of new POS items across internal resources and ensure their effective communication within the business.

Identify opportunities to drive innovation and optimize Red Bull’s brand presence at retail.

Take responsibility for developing and distributing trade marketing resources and tools.

Identify successes and opportunities during frequent market visits and ride-alongs with the Distribution team.

BUSINESS INSIGHTS

Evaluate the effectiveness of insight-driven channel marketing activities and report on the results.

Lead the annual business planning process across assigned channels by providing strategy and guidelines on effective point-of-sale (POS) solutions to achieve commercial and brand objectives.

Collaborate with Red Bull’s insights team to connect shopper and business insights with our portfolio of tools through internal and external content suitable for conceptual selling, sell sheets, and other relevant trade communications.

Analyze historical data and trends to forecast future needs and identify improvements, using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Qualifications

5–8+ years of experience in the consumer goods industry, including exposure to retailers, is required.

Strong skills in planning, prioritization, and project management.

Exceptional communication skills, including presenting, writing, and collaborating.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Strong interpersonal skills that enable effective cross-departmental networking.

Conscientious, with strong attention to detail and a self-starting attitude.

Creative mindset, with a willingness to question and improve the status quo.

Strong conceptual thinking and design critique skills.

Some technical knowledge of POS (point-of-sale) production (print, permanent, and temporary) is preferred.

People management experience is strongly preferred.

Experience working with agencies or production suppliers is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.

Fully embodies and represents the Red Bull brand.

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - 173,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
