Position Summary:  The Senior Manager, Sales Strategy (Ethnic) is responsible for leading the Sales Strategy Part by driving annual business planning, sales forecasting, performance management, and strategic initiatives across ethnic and multicultural market segments. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Sales Operations teams to support business growth through data-driven insights and effective business planning.

This position requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate business insights into actionable strategies that support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Planning and Sales Strategy

  • Lead the annual business planning process and support the development of sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

  • Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance tracking metrics in partnership with Sales leadership.

  • Identify growth opportunities by customer, channel, geography, and product category.

  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and consumer insights to support strategic decision-making.

Forecasting and Business Analytics

  • Lead sales forecasting and demand planning activities.

  • Analyze sales performance, profitability, and market trends.

  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools to support executive decision-making.

  • Provide business insights and recommendations through data analysis.

  • Lead scenario planning and risk assessment activities.

Performance Management & Business Insights

  • Monitor sales KPIs and business performance.

  • Support executive decision-making through analytical reporting. 

  • Identify business risks and growth opportunities.

  • Recommend actions to improve sales performance.

  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).

Strategic Projects & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Lead strategic initiatives that improve business planning and organizational effectiveness.

  • Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Sales Operations on cross-functional projects.

  • Drive process improvements and planning standardization.

  • Support new business initiatives and organizational transformation projects.

  • Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop members of the Sales Strategy Part.

  • Establish team priorities, performance expectations, and accountability.

  • Strengthen team capabilities in business planning, forecasting, analytics, and strategy.

Requirements:

  • BA degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field required.

  • 7+ years of experience in sales strategy, sales planning, commercial planning, business analytics, or related functions.

  • Experience within consumer-packaged goods (CPG), food and beverage or multicultural/ethnic market channels strongly preferred.

  • Experience in sales forecasting, KPI management, business planning, and executive reporting preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.

The base salary for this position is between $125,000.00 and $145,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, PTO/FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
