Job Title:              Senior Manager, Learning, Development & Performance Business Partner (Activision and Activision Blizzard)

Reporting To:      Microsoft Gaming, Director of Learning and Development

Your Mission

As a Senior Manager, Learning, Development & Performance (LD&P) Business Partner for Activision Publishing & Corporate Functions, you will partner with senior leaders to drive business performance through talent, capability, and leadership.

Acting as a trusted advisor, you will shape and deliver LD&P priorities aligned to business strategy — spanning learning, performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development. This role balances enterprise alignment with deep local understanding, ensuring Activision Publishing and Corporate Functions are equipped with the capabilities and leaders needed to deliver today and scale for the future.

This role is anticipated to be assigned as a hybrid work model position, with some work on-site at an Activision Blizzard office and some work remote.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Partner closely with senior leaders to translate business priorities into clear LD&P strategies and actions.

  • Contribute to the long-term LD&P roadmap, ensuring alignment with business unit and studio business strategies.

  • Use data, insight, and judgement to prioritize initiatives that deliver the greatest business impact.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and HR partners.

  • Act as the primary LD&P point of contact, providing thought partnership, challenge, and guidance.

  • Shape leadership conversations around performance, potential, readiness, and capability.

Performance & Talent

  • Lead the deployment of performance management, talent review, and succession planning processes, ensuring quality, consistency, and meaningful outcomes.

  • Partner with leaders to identify critical roles, talent risks, and pipeline opportunities.

  • Support leaders in translating talent insights into targeted development and action.

Learning & Capability

  • Conduct learning and capability needs analysis aligned to current and future business requirements.

  • Design and deploy targeted learning solutions that build leadership and functional capability.

  • Leverage data and feedback to continuously refine learning approaches and measure impact.

Culture & Ways of Working

  • Act as a cultural advocate, embedding values and leadership expectations through talent and development practices.

  • Support initiatives that strengthen engagement, inclusion, and leadership effectiveness.

  • Enable leaders to role-model a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Delivery, Governance & Quality

  • Ensure high-quality delivery of LD&P initiatives, balancing local needs with enterprise consistency.

  • Track effectiveness through defined KPIs, insights, and stakeholder feedback.

  • Share progress, outcomes, and recommendations with leaders and HR partners.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Contribute to planning and managing LD&P budgets, ensuring effective use of resources.

  • Manage external partners and vendors where required.

Representation & Collaboration

  • Represent LD&P in leadership forums and cross-business discussions.

  • Collaborate with central and regional LD&P teams to share best practices and drive alignment.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years of direct work experience in Learning and Development (or related field) with 2+ years of management experience

  • Proven expertise in scaling global learning and development programming; especially in a corporate learning and development environment

  • Demonstrated experience presenting to executives and gaining alignment among multiple stakeholders on enterprise-wide initiatives

  • Proven learning facilitation skills; especially in manager or leadership development

  • Strong project/program management, with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex and global programs, including project implementation, stakeholder management, and budget management

  • Experience owning program strategy and presenting results to senior leadership

  • Consistent track record of using data to measure learning effectiveness, identify insights, and make updates/improvements

  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or Learning Experience Platforms

Extra Points  

  • Master’s degree in related subject area, or relevant certifications

  • Knowledge of upskilling and reskilling vendors and external partners

  • Expert in adult learning modalities and learning experience

  • Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced work environment while completing multiple priorities

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $105,120.00 - $194,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
