Position Overview:
This role sits within our New Verticals business — an entrepreneurial incubator focused on building and scaling the next generation of e.l.f. brands, communities, and category-defining ideas.

We’re looking for a collaborative, humble, and hungry leader who builds strong cross-functional relationships across Brand, Creative, PR, Influencer, Community, Paid Media, Connected Commerce, and agency partners to drive integrated business impact and operate as one connected team.

Deeply tapped into culture, creators, and consumer behavior, you understand how brands earn attention today and how to create moments communities genuinely want to talk about. You’ll wear multiple hats, move at e.l.f. speed, and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. One day you might be ideating social-first content strategy; the next, briefing creators, building influencer seeding plans, concepting IRL activations, jumping into community management, or partnering with agencies to drive cultural relevance.

What You'll Do:

Collaborate across the e.l.f.iverse: Serve as the integrated marketing flywheel lead — connecting social, influencer, PR, community, commerce and experiential into one seamless ecosystem designed to drive measurable ROI, business growth and real-time optimization.

Build the brand in culture: Help shape the voice, personality, and cultural identity of the brand through integrated marketing across social, influencer, PR, partnerships, events, community, and earned storytelling. Translate consumer insights, trends, and platform behaviors into timely, relevant marketing moments, while identifying whitespace opportunities and emerging cultural conversations before everyone else does.

Own social strategy: Lead social strategy and day-to-day execution across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Oversee the social content calendar, ensuring alignment with launches, campaigns, and business priorities. Partner cross-functionally with Creative and agencies to develop platform-native content and compelling creative briefs. Track campaign performance and social analytics, surfacing actionable insights and optimization opportunities in real time.

Drive influencer marketing: Build and execute creator strategies across paid and organic, partnering closely with influencer agencies and key stakeholders. Identify emerging creators and culturally relevant voices that align with the brand’s values, aesthetic, and audience.

Manage creator relationships: Oversee creator partnerships, product seeding, campaign coordination, and performance tracking to ensure impactful execution and measurable results.

Lead PR + experiential moments: Partner closely with PR teams and external partners to maximize earned media, cultural conversation, and brand buzz. Concept and execute scrappy, high-impact events, creator experiences, and community activations that people actually want to post, share, and talk about.

Who You Are:

    • First and foremost, you’re a bold disruptor with a kind heart — just like everyone at e.l.f.
    • 6–8 years of experience across integrated marketing, communications, social, and influencer marketing (bonus points for beauty, fashion, or CPG experience).
    • You thrive in fast-moving environments where priorities shift quickly and no two days look the same.
    • You’re equally comfortable thinking strategically and rolling up your sleeves to execute.
    • You have a proven ability to build and grow communities through culturally relevant storytelling, creator relationships, and experiences that deepen engagement, foster loyalty, and turn audiences into active brand advocates.
    • You have a strong understanding of how earned media and social conversation work together with paid media to amplify reach, improve efficiency, and maximize the impact of campaigns, creators, partnerships, and cultural moments.
    • You’re passionate about expanding new audiences while going deep with subcultures and communities that shape culture, identifying whitespace opportunities that unlock relevance, drive revenue, and long-term brand growth.
    • You bring excellent communication, copywriting, and presentation skills.
    • You’re collaborative, humble, hungry, highly organized, and energized by ambitious goals.
    • You’re scrappy, entrepreneurial, and excited by the opportunity to grow alongside a new business and brand.

The base salary range for this role is listed above.

Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.’s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
