You’ll work alongside FOX’s Emerging Tech leadership team to co-create employee and manager training, onboarding, and engagement efforts, while building the communication plans, toolkits, and feedback systems that bring cohesion to a fast-moving, high-impact space

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the Emerging Tech, Data and Cybersecurity teams, providing practical coaching and support across the employee lifecycle
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to ensure a seamless and positive candidate and new hire experience, including support for early career and emerging talent pipelines for technical and AI-related roles.
  • Develop and maintain clear internal communication channels to deliver key information about programs, processes, and resources to employees that drive understanding and adoption.
  • Create and manage internal communication strategies and templates that amplify AI initiatives and improve employee awareness and participation
  • Partner with the AI Champions network to activate champions, collect tool feedback, and build engagement loops
  • Translate qualitative feedback and adoption data into insights that produce meaningful improvements in programs, tools, and messaging
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support early-career and emerging talent pipelines for technical and AI-related roles
  • Serve as a connector between technical transformation and employee experience, helping ensure innovation is paired with clear communication and cultural alignment
  • Coordinate with HR Centers of Excellence (Compensation, Employee Relations, Benefits, L&D, HR Operations) to activate programs and policies across functions

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 7+ years of HR experience, ideally within tech-forward or change-intensive environments
  • Proven ability to design and deliver HR programs that directly impact employees and managers
  • Hands-on experience with driving performance management, engagement, and career development processes and measuring their organizational impacts.
  • Demonstrated success building internal comms and adoption strategies across cross-functional teams, utilizing key change management principles.
  • Fluency in AI tools, emerging technologies, or digital enablement platforms
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and comfortable translating technical updates into actionable, people-centered content
  • Strong operational and program management skills, with the ability to execute across multiple projects at once
  • Experience collaborating across multiple functions (e.g., Tech, HR, Comms, L&D) in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience in Technology, Media, or Cybersecurity sectors
  • Familiarity with internal communications platforms (Slack, Workday, Notion, etc.)
  • Exposure to organizational change, transformation, or AI adoption strategies

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
