We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as a Senior Manager, Employee Partner.  This individual will play a key leadership role in managing employee and labor relations programs across our El Segundo location where fostering positive employee and labor relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational policies are key.  The ideal candidate will bring expertise in handling complex employee and labor relations matters and serve as a strategic partner to managers, leaders, and the function across the organization. 

What You Will Do

Employee Relations:

  • Advise and coach leaders on resolving employee performance issues, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflicts.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances while ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive work culture.

Labor Relations:

  • Serves as a key contact for union representatives and manages labor-management relationships.
  • Negotiate and administer five (5) Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
  • Develop and conduct training for leaders on labor laws, union matters, and CBA provisions.

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Partner with ELR, HR, and Managers to develop long-term strategies for employee engagement and retention.
  • Analyze trends in employee and labor relations and propose solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Act as a thought leader in shaping the organization’s employee and labor relations practices.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Minimum 5 years labor relations experience. 
  • Experience with union contract negotiations.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification(s)
  • Proven knowledge of employment laws and labor relations practices.
  • Strong written, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and independently across teams.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and experience.

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
