Sr. Manager, Games Global Strategy & Business Operations – Disney Games & Digital Entertainment

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a strategic, analytical, and highly driven Sr. Manager, Games Strategy & Business Operations to help shape the long-term strategy for Disney Games & Digital Entertainment, with a primary focus on Disney's groundbreaking digital universe connected to Fortnite.

In this high-impact role, you will be partnering closely with leaders across Disney Games & Digital Entertainment and cross-functional teams spanning product, technology, finance, legal, marketing, and Disney Entertainment to develop strategic frameworks, evaluate market opportunities, create executive presentations, and provide data-driven recommendations that influence executive decision-making and support long-term business growth.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges, evaluating strategic opportunities, developing structured business analyses, and translating industry insights into concise, actionable recommendations in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Director, Games Global Strategy & Business Operations for Disney Games & Digital Entertainment.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that shape the long-term direction of Disney Games & Digital Entertainment. Identify growth opportunities, evaluate emerging business models, and develop strategic recommendations that directly influence executive decision-making and investment priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership by developing executive narratives, strategic recommendations, business cases, and Board-level materials that inform critical business decisions.
  • Leverage market research, vendor analytics, competitive intelligence, and business performance data to identify strategic opportunities, evaluate emerging technologies and business models, and inform product planning and investment decisions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, technology, finance, marketing, legal, and Disney Entertainment teams to align strategic priorities and drive key business initiatives.
  • Influence senior leaders across Product, Technology, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Disney Entertainment to align strategic priorities, resolve complex business challenges, and drive execution of enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Lead key components of the annual operating plan, long-range strategic planning process, and executive business reviews under the guidance of executive leadership; partner with Finance and functional leaders to develop multi-year strategies, evaluate investments, prioritize initiatives, define health metrics, and track progress against business objectives across games and digital entertainment
  • Lead the development of executive business reviews by synthesizing market trends, portfolio performance, financial results, and strategy priorities to actionable recommendations for executive leadership decision-making
  • Drive and support partnership and greenlight process by utilizing business cases, financial models, and negotiation frameworks, fostering cross-functional collaboration and facilitating executive alignment on strategic priorities and resource allocation for initiatives across Disney Games & Digital Entertainment

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, business strategy, strategic planning, product strategy, or strategic finance.
  • 5 years within gaming, entertainment, media, or technology.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategic recommendations through qualitative and quantitative analysis that influence executive decision-making.
  • Exceptional analytical, financial, and structured problem-solving skills, including business case development, financial modeling, forecasting, and opportunity analysis.
  • Proven ability to develop executive presentations, strategic narratives, and decision-support materials that communicate complex analyses with clarity and influence senior leadership.
  • Strong understanding of the interactive entertainment industry, including market dynamics, consumer trends, digital platforms, live-service games, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders across product, technology, finance, marketing, legal, and other business functions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $139,200.00 to $186,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
