Job Summary
Responsible for leading a team of Software Development Engineers in the planning and designing of CMS software and web applications. Manages projects from design through testing, including new features, enhancements, and platform improvements. Collaborates with Quality Assurance and cross-functional partners to conduct testing and ensure high-quality releases. Develops financial and operational objectives and ensures that operational plans are aligned with business goals. Contributes to functional strategy development and has a significant impact on business results, typically managing one or more groups of professional employees across both U.S. and CIEC (Comcast India Engineering Center) teams.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Oversees the planning and designing of CMS software and web applications, including new programs, enhancements, and modifications.
- Provides guidance to the engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements. Serves as the primary point of contact and liaison between CMS Engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Directs implementation initiatives for new CMS features and applications. Organizes the update and release processes for existing applications and coordinates the roll-out of software releases.
- Manages all deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets. Implements performance metrics and prepares periodic reports and proposals. Monitors project progress and shares updates with leadership.
- Ensures engineers remain current with modern technologies and industry best practices. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and solutions.
- Provides leadership and direction to department personnel, including engineers, leads, and managers across both U.S. and CIEC (Comcast India Engineering Center) locations.
- Manages cross-project communications and ensures alignment across CMS initiatives and engineering efforts.
- Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.

Highly Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong full-stack engineering background, with hands-on experience guiding teams across modern web frontends (JavaScript-based frameworks) and backend services built using Java and Spring Boot.
- Deep understanding of API-driven architectures, including the design, integration, and scaling of RESTful services within distributed, service-oriented CMS platforms.
- Experience leading CI/CD and delivery pipelines, covering build, test, deployment, and release automation for Spring Boot–based backend services and web applications.
- Proven technical leadership of large-scale CMS or platform systems, owning architecture decisions, system integrations, and cross-team dependencies in partnership with QA, DevOps, and product teams
