Senior Manager, DevOps Engineering
North Hospitality - Remote
The Senior Manager of DevOps Engineering will lead and engineer a team to continue to evolve the myriad cloud environments for Hospitality Engineering – catering to developers, production environments, QA environments and building the tools and processes to ensure our cloud environments run efficiently and smoothly.
What you'll do:
- Must have demonstrable leadership skills, building and managing development teams
- Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of services and system software and related infrastructure
- Ensure systems, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values
- Manage/maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline our development processes
- Investigate and resolve technical issues and provide escalated technical support
- Build tools to reduce the occurrences of errors and improve the customer experience
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Develop scripts to automate visualization
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Design and implement appropriate levels of security within the systems
- Document processes, systems, and procedures in detail
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering or related field
- 3+ years of IT Project Management experience with proven infrastructure project management
- Experience with maintaining Linux or Unix based systems
- Knowledge of Source Code Management (Version Control System) tools like Git
- 5+ years of experience with managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters
- Strong experience with GitOps procedures and workflows using either Flux or ArgoCD
- Experience with open source metrics and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, AlertManager
- Strong Terraform skills
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Platforms with an emphasis on AWS and EKS
- Experience with systems monitoring software and systems
- Experience with automation/ integration tools like GitHub Actions
- Strong Knowledge of software containerization platforms like Docker
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl
- Experience in Linux architectures, Ubuntu/CentOS
- Experience in database administration for platforms like PostgreSQL, Neo4j or any other database management systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment
- Ability to develop continuous Integration/ Delivery pipelines
- Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities with attention to detail
- Ability to document Root Cause Analysis and ongoing system documentation
- Well-developed technical and analytical skills to support and troubleshoot complex issues in an enterprise environment
- Understanding of common backup and restore procedures
- Understanding of Amazon Web Services , Google Cloud Platform, etc.
- Ability to manage a large Amazon environment / Cloud environment
- Networking: Switching, Routing, firewalls
- Jira, Confluence
- CLI: Kubectl, Kubernetes YAML, Helm Charts
- Log management and review
- Maintaining Payment Card Industry Digital Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliance

Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000
Pay within this range varies by work location and on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We look forward to discussing your salary expectations and our full total rewards offerings throughout the interview process.
