Sr. Global SEO/GEO Strategist 

OVERVIEW


We are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior SEO & GEO Strategist to join our Web Marketing team. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing enterprise SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies that increase organic visibility, web engagement, and business impact across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms.

As our digital presence continues to play a critical role in business growth, this position will serve as a key driver of search strategy, technical optimization, content discoverability, and AI search readiness. The Senior SEO & GEO Strategist will partner closely with global stakeholders, web teams, content teams, product marketing, and analytics teams to ensure search excellence across Genesys.com and related digital properties while advancing the organization's AI search and answer engine visibility strategy.


WHAT YOU WILL DO


  • Develop, manage, and execute global SEO and GEO strategies aligned to business, marketing, and pipeline growth objectives.
  • Optimize content and digital experiences for traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and emerging AI search experiences.
  • Act as the primary liaison between web marketing teams, SEO agencies, regional stakeholders, content teams, and business leaders to ensure alignment on search strategy and execution.
  • Lead keyword, topic cluster, entity, and competitive research to identify new opportunities for growth, authority, and discoverability.
  • Monitor and analyze performance across platforms including Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Conductor, and other SEO technologies.
  • Produce technical SEO analyses and recommendations related to site architecture, crawlability, indexing, structured data, Core Web Vitals, and overall search performance.
  • Routinely evaluate and optimize on-page SEO elements, content structure, internal linking strategies, and user engagement signals.
  • Partner with Campaigns, Content and Product Marketing teams to create search-optimized and AI-friendly content that supports customer journeys and business goals.
  • Refine requirements, priorities, and best practices in response to search engine algorithm changes, AI search developments, and evolving digital marketing trends.
  • Develop frameworks to measure AI search visibility, citation frequency, answer engine performance, and overall GEO effectiveness.
  • Build executive-level reporting and communicate strategic insights, opportunities, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Mentor team members and serve as a subject matter expert on SEO, GEO, search trends, and digital discoverability.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of web engagement strategies, user experience, and organic growth initiatives.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, content strategy, or a related discipline, preferably within a SaaS or technology organization.
  • Deep expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, keyword research, analytics, and search performance measurement.
  • Strong understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), AI-powered search experiences, and emerging search technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Scalenut, Screaming Frog, or similar enterprise SEO platforms.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, website architecture, and technical SEO best practices.
  • Proven ability to independently identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and drive strategic recommendations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving alignment across global teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Passionate about staying ahead of industry trends, search innovation, and AI-driven discovery experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

$108,700.00 - $191,100.00
