About KiwiCo:

KiwiCo is an innovative eCommerce company dedicated to sparking creativity and curiosity in kids (and kids at heart!). Through both online and offline materials, we provide fun and engaging ways for kids to explore, create, and learn. Our primary offering is a subscription service where we deliver "whoa awesome," hands-on projects to kids. We also manage an eCommerce storefront and a content platform to inspire and educate. We take great pride and ownership in the products we build and in the community of parents and kids we serve.

Our office is located in Mountain View, CA within walking distance to the Caltrain station. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with 3-4 office days per week (depending on your team) and the remainder of the week working remotely.

About this role:

You are an entrepreneurial, data-driven eCommerce leader with a proven track record of driving growth. Equal parts merchant with a keen eye for product, strategist, and growth marketer, you are positive, proactive, and have a relentless bias for action. You thrive in fast-paced environments where you can navigate ambiguity, test new ideas, and continuously learn.

You will be the architect of our DTC site merchandising strategy, owning site experience, pricing, promotion, integrated marketing planning and execution. You move seamlessly between big-picture vision and hands-on execution. In this high-visibility role, you will lead with impact, partnering closely with executive leadership, and driving cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Finance, Sourcing, Product Development, Creative, Analytics, Digital Product, and Operations.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Run our DTC and Amazon business. Keep leadership and cross-functional partners in the loop, regularly sharing performance updates, key wins, and upcoming opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Development and Sourcing teams to turn customer insights and market trends into long-term product roadmap and merchandising plans.
  • Shape how our products show up across DTC and Amazon, creating playbooks to scale both channels.
  • Lead new product launches across Product Development, Sourcing, Digital Product, Marketing and Creative, working across teams to deliver a seamless customer experience from start to finish.
  • Bring Marketing and Content teams together around our integrated marketing calendar, building momentum for key seasonal moments, campaigns, and hero products.
  • Work with Finance, Sourcing, and Marketing to build pricing and promo strategies that win new customers, keep them coming back, and protect margins.
  • Improve the online shopping experience alongside Digital Product, testing fresh ideas and tuning up site merchandising to make buying effortless.
  • Bring high-impact growth programs to life from start to finish, ensuring continuous alignment with the executive team and key cross-functional partners.
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in consumer eCommerce, preferably at a DTC or subscription business.
  • 2+ years of experience in demand planning, merchandise planning, or site merchandising.
  • BA/BS required
  • You have a passion for merchandising, telling product stories, and keeping customers engaged through fresh and relevant assortments.
  • You are an effective problem solver, with a hands-on “get things done” mentality.
  • You bring effective project management skills, a high degree of organization, and the ability to multitask.
  • You have excellent quantitative and data analysis skills and look forward to diving into the data. Experience with Mixpanel, Looker, or Google Analytics is a plus.
  • You have an AI-native mindset with proven experience integrating AI tools into daily problem-solving and execution.
  • You have a broad operating range that allows you to see the big picture while operating in the details.
  • You have excellent collaboration and communication skills that make you a natural leader across teams.
  • You have an intense intellectual curiosity and are always learning.
  • You thrive in ambiguous environments and enjoy creating structure and process in otherwise unstructured environments.

The starting pay range for this position is between $140,000 and $160,000 per year. However, the final base salary offered may differ based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and business needs.

In addition to base pay, KiwiCo offers a comprehensive total rewards package, which may include opportunities for an annual bonus, stock options, and a variety of benefits related to health, financial security, and well-being. Specific details about these benefits will be shared if an offer of employment is extended.

If hired, the position is “at-will” and the Company reserves the right to modify any component, plan, or program of the total rewards package at any time, for any reason.

If you’re passionate about delivering innovative, delightful, and enriching products and experiences for kids, we’d love to hear from you!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
