A critical leadership role in the Strategic Partnerships team within the Hertz Commercial business, the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, Financials Institutions will managing a highly strategic partnerships segment for Hertz.  This role will be responsible for relationship management of our financial institution partners.  Success will be measured primarily on revenue growth but secondarily on innovation within the segment, operational effectiveness and, importantly, team management. 

 

The ideal candidate easily builds and maintains internal and external relationships, is highly strategic and strives for operational excellence. Because this is a people leadership role, the ideal candidate also invests in their own leadership development and the development of their team. Knowledge of how Issuers, Acquirers and other partners within the Financial Institutions segments operate is helpful for success in this role. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

 

Relationship Management: 

  • Own and grow Hertz's Financial Institution partnerships, building trusted relationships and serving as the primary point of contact to drive mutual success
  • Develop a deep understanding of partner strategies, business objectives and market dynamics to identify new opportunities for revenue growth, customer value creation and long-term partnership expansion
  • Partner across Revenue Management, Product, Operations, Legal and Technology to ensure seamless execution, operational excellence and adherence to contractual commitments while delivering an exceptional partner experience

Innovation:

  • Develop deep expertise in the Financial Institutions ecosystem, including issuers, acquirers, networks and emerging players, to identify trends and opportunities that can create value for Hertz
  • Bring curiosity and strategic thinking to uncover new partnership models, customer experiences and commercial opportunities that drive revenue growth and differentiate Hertz in the marketplace
  • Champion innovative ideas that strengthen Hertz's position as a preferred and loved brand, translating market insights into scalable initiatives that improve partner engagement and customer loyalty

Leadership

  • Build, lead and manage high-performing team with clear performance metrics and thoughtful in the moment feedback 
  • Ability to foster strong relationships across the company and influence cross-functional partners to drive mutual success
  • Create culture of accountability, creativity and speed to execution

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or related field required, Master’s degree preferred. 
  • 12+ years of experience in relationship management, partnerships, loyalty, strategy or a related commercial role; ideally in financial institutions-related industry required
  • Exceptional relationship building capabilities with strong executive presence and ability to influence at all levels required
  • Strategic thought leadership in new commercial models, revenue unlocks and innovative business building tactics required
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close complex, high-value contracts required
  • Strong people leadership experience, including managing direct reports and cross-functional teams required
  • Results driven, ability to work independently and under ambiguity to make decisions and help solve problems required
