Your Role:

The Sr. Director, Ecommerce, Robotics owns FF’s direct-to-user digital storefront for the Robotics business – the website, configurator, checkout, and post-order journey. Reporting to the UES Leader, this role is accountable for digital revenue, conversion rate, and digital user experience, and is the system owner for the platform that every other UES channel ultimately routes into.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ecommerce P&L:
    Own digital storefront revenue, conversion, AOV, and gross margin for Robotics; deliver the annual ecommerce operating plan.
  • Site & Configurator:
    Lead the Robotics product detail experience, configurator, comparison tools, and checkout flow, partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization:
    Run a continuous experimentation roadmap (A/B and multivariate) covering merchandising, pricing presentation, finance options, and checkout.
  • Personalization & AI:
    Deploy AI-driven personalization across the site, including recommendation, dynamic content, and conversational commerce surfaces.
  • Pricing, Promotion & Finance:
    Partner with Finance and Product to manage pricing presentation, promotional architecture, trade-in, and consumer financing offers.
  • Order, Fulfillment & Returns:
    Own the digital order experience end-to-end with Operations and Service, including delivery promise, status communication, and returns.
  • Platform & Tech Roadmap:
    Set the multi-year ecommerce platform roadmap; evaluate and own decisions on commerce platform, CMS, payment, fraud, and analytics.
  • Cross-Channel Routing:
    Define how digital intent is routed to FF Par, Direct Sales, Content Commerce, and Community channels for high-consideration purchase paths.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
    Own a single source of truth for digital funnel metrics; partner with Acquisition and User Operation on attribution and lifecycle reporting.
  • Team Leadership:
    Build and lead a multi-disciplinary ecommerce team across product, merchandising, operations, CRO, and analytics.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    10+ years in ecommerce / digital DTC leadership for premium or high-consideration consumer products.
  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, marketing, or related discipline.
  • Revenue Track Record:
    Demonstrated ownership of a digital storefront with USD $50M+ in annual revenue.
  • Platform Experience:
    Hands-on experience with major ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, custom headless stacks) and CMS / CDP integrations.
  • Analytics:
    Strong CRO and analytics chops; comfortable defining experiment design and reading results.
  • Leadership:
    Track record leading cross-functional ecommerce teams of 15+ across product, ops, and merchandising.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience launching configurator-driven, high-ASP hardware or vehicle ecommerce.
    • Experience operating ecommerce across both US and Greater China platforms.
    • Familiarity with AI-native commerce surfaces (conversational commerce, agentic checkout).
    • Background integrating consumer financing and trade-in into the digital storefront.

Salary Range:

($150,000-$220,000 DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
