Zillow Group is seeking a Senior Data Visualization Engineer to join the Marketing Data Science & Analytics (DSA) team. In this impactful role, you will create visually compelling representations of complex data, providing insights that drive marketing strategy and decision-making. You will collaborate closely with marketing, data science, and product teams to build and maintain reporting solutions that empower the marketing organization to shape the future of Zillow Group. More specifically, you will:
- Build, maintain, and operate clear, compelling data visualizations and dashboards for marketing stakeholders.
 - Collaborate with marketing, data science, and engineering teams to develop scalable reporting solutions.
 - Translate business goals into actionable reports and continuously improve the reporting stack.
 - Use BI tools like Tableau and custom UI development (e.g., JavaScript) to create informative dashboards.
 - Work with large datasets from internal and third-party sources (e.g., Databricks, Presto) to develop impactful solutions.
 - Write efficient SQL queries and leverage ETL tools (e.g., dbt, Databricks) for performant reporting.
 - Measure marketing campaign effectiveness and incorporate findings into future strategies.
 - Contribute to the marketing BI vision and support the team’s data-driven decision-making.
 
We are looking for someone who is passionate about reporting, translating complicated data sets and business problems into easily consumable and impactful insights. You will also need to be unafraid of tackling complexity and new business problems. We're searching for an experienced Senior Data Visualization Engineer who has:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience in business analytics.
 - 5+ years of experience in data visualization, with expertise in BI tools such as Tableau.
 - Proficient in SQL and experienced working in big data environments.
 - Skilled in ETL tools and data modeling, with experience using Databricks or similar data warehousing platforms.
 - Capable of creating custom data visualizations using JavaScript or similar technologies.
 - Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
 - Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
 - Effective collaborator who can work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a remote, cross-functional environment.

Nice to Have:
- Experience with Tableau Server administration.
 - Knowledge of user-centered design and data visualization principles.

 - Familiarity with dbt, Google Analytics, or advanced marketing analytics techniques (e.g., MMM, Testing, Causal Inference).
