Maintain and modernize a legacy C#/.NET codebase, design and build new cloud-based applications, write front- and back-end code, add unit/integration tests, review code, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate across teams to improve architecture and reliability.
As a Senior Cloud Applications Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and modernizing our flagship software suite, while also having the opportunity to design and build new cloud-based applications from scratch. You'll bring a sharp eye for code quality, working to refactor, optimize, and standardize our legacy codebase, and apply those same standards of craftsmanship to new development work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on development and thinking critically about long-term code health and architecture.
What You'll Do- Maintain, refactor, and modernize existing legacy applications built with C# .NET, MVC, Javascript, and Razor
- Design and build new cloud-based solutions from the ground up
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in both front-end and back-end
- Develop unit and integration tests for existing legacy software to improve coverage and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Review code and provide constructive feedback to help maintain high engineering standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner
- Stay current with best practices in cloud engineering and bring recommendations to the team
Required:
- 5+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience with Javascript, ASP.NET, MVC, and Razor
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred:
- Experience working in the healthcare industry or with healthcare-related applications
- Experience with git
- Experience with the Atlassian ecosystem
- Experience with Moq and xUnit for unit and integration testing
- Desire to develop unit and integration tests for existing legacy software
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
