Job Summary: 

We are looking for a competent Billing specialist to undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the company’s revenues. You will aid the processing of invoices along with the issuing of necessary back-up details and provide direct, real-time support by having a strong understanding of company policies, processes, and department process flows.  

 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Daily review and processing of data files for monthly invoicing.  

  • Review and approve invoices for completeness and accuracy. 

  • Work with the leadership team to stay updated on product knowledge, internal processes and be informed of any changes in company/ departmental policies or procedures.  

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) related to department processes and systems.  

  • Assists with escalations and high-volume workloads.  

  • Provide knowledge-based support while monitoring activity and provide real-time support as needed. 

  • Assist leadership team with ensuring team meets company deadlines for month end close responsibilities. 

  • Assist with departmental reporting processes. 

  • Respond to written communication (from internal and external sources) in a professional manner. 

  • Assist with updating and improving documentation of policies and procedures related to assigned responsibilities as well as those related to the department. 

Specific Skills/ Attributes: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel. 

  • Self-starter capable of adapting to meet fast paced and changing business needs. 

  • Ability to function in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.   

  • Able to work effectively with all levels of management. 

  • Must demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of clerical work & handling monetary transactions. 

  • High school diploma/ GED required (Associate degree in a business- related field preferred).
