The Splunk Engineer L2 will provide operational support, engage with users on Splunk issues, conduct support sessions, and perform log onboarding among other responsibilities.
Position Overview:
- 3-5 years of Splunk experience
- Critical thinking skills
- Splunk administrator solving problems
- Handles common requests and tasks
- Interacts with large user base
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with users experiencing Splunk problems
- Work on tickets and ITMs for Splunk issues
- Conduct screen-sharing support sessions
- Perform log onboarding into Splunk
- Configure ServiceNow and alerts
- Adjust cron expressions to reduce SVC usage
- Review internal audit logs
- Solve problems by correlating documentation and critical thinking
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience solving Splunk problems in operational support
- Ability to work directly with end users
- Fluent in English
- Available during Eastern Standard hours (9-5)
- Data analysis skills
- Medium SPL knowledge
- Ability to write semi-complicated queries
- Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Splunk Power User or Admin certification
- 5 years total IT experience
- 3 years in operational support role
- Hands-on Splunk administrator experience
- Basic ServiceNow knowledge
