As a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison with CPS Solutions, LLC, at Munson Foster Family Community Health Center, you will have the unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients by directly coordinating their care through our integrated specialty and retail pharmacy services. You will play a key role in enhancing their health outcomes and overall experience, while acting as a bridge between patients, providers, and the pharmacy. This role focuses on improving prescription capture, providing follow-up counseling, and ensuring smooth communication. Key duties include processing prior authorizations, assisting with financial aid, updating clinical data, and supporting administrative tasks. The liaison collaborates closely with the CPS Patient Care Services team and works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work at least 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with some on call. There are no nights, weekends or holidays.

The Foster Family Community Health Center, formerly called the Munson Community Health Center, is the front door to services provided at Munson Medical Center and elsewhere in the Munson Healthcare system. People from around northern Michigan use Foster Family Community Health Center for pre-operative testing, pain management, rehabilitation therapies, urgent care, sleep disorders, and many other diagnostic services.
About the Pharmacy: The Specialty Pharmacy will utilize PioneerRx or a similar program. The Pharmacy hours will be Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between providers, specialty pharmacies, and patients to facilitate timely therapy initiation
  • Coordinate prescription intake and referrals, ensuring accurate transmission of orders and required documentation
  • Support prior authorizations and benefits investigations, collaborating with payers, pharmacies, and provider offices
  • Educate patients on the specialty pharmacy process, including next steps, timelines, and access expectations
  • Track prescription status and therapy progress, proactively resolving access, financial, or logistical barriers
  • Collaborate with clinical and care teams to support adherence, continuity of care, and patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with program, regulatory, and organizational requirements, including documentation and reporting standards

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred)
  • Active Michigan state Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
  • Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician, ideally in specialty or outpatient settings
  • Experience supporting clinical pharmacy programs and performing administrative tasks such as prior authorizations and data entry
  • Solid knowledge of medication regimens, age-specific dosing, and managed care practices
  • Proficient in pharmacy systems, care management platforms, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Proven excellent communication and customer service skills; comfortable interacting professionally with patients and providers via phone, in person, or telehealth

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in a pharmacy position in a hospital, specialty or retail setting
  • Experience with Chronic disease

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 to $32 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
