WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a Specialist II Creative Copy Writer, you will partner with the Creative Director, your North America Women's Sportswear Creative Studio teammates, the Global Creative team, Brand and Social Teams, the Content Production team, and Business Affairs. 

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Partnering with the Women's Brand Creative team, you'll work cross-functionally, writing copy for projects ranging from editorial work through brand moments, product and business drivers. 

  • Deliver outstanding storytelling, with deliverables ranging from manifestos and social content to campaign content, headlines, scriptwriting, and owned channel copy.

  • Ensure our content meets and exceeds the highest standards: always on-brand, culturally-aware, sport-authentic, platform-right, distinctive and engaging.

  • Work strategically to drive brand awareness and deliver strong engagement through creative deliverables.

  • Keep up to date with emerging trends in lifestyle, sports, design, culture, media, and technology as relevant to Nike and the writing team.

  • Partner effectively across teams and dimensions—social, art direction, digital design, styling, photography, production, post-production, and marketing—throughout the creative process.

  • Ensure all projects are well-planned, creatively outstanding, and delivered in a timely manner.

  • Review project work for the highest standards of quality, consistency, accuracy, and successful completion. 

  • Continually encourage and empower the team around you, working in a hands-on and highly collaborative manner to produce fresh, distinctive, effective storytelling through a high volume of work and widely varying end uses. 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Communications, Journalism, or related field or a combination of education and proven experience.

  • 3-5 years writing experience in a corporate or agency environment, preferably as a copywriter for a major retailer, e-commerce company, or digital communications agency.

  • A passion for the Athlete*, Sport* and Culture.

  • Willingness to immerse yourself in Sportswear, Culture and Lifestyle

  • A portfolio of creative ideas and brand writing across platforms, displaying a distinctive voice, experienced command of style and tone, and impeccable eye for detail.

  • Expert-level ability to write in long and short-form writing, as well as experience writing compelling and conceptual creative copy for products, brands, campaigns, and digital platforms.

  • Understanding of the nuances across all digital social landscapes and speaking to the audiences appropriately (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).

  • A style of writing that embraces a tone of encouragement, authenticity, and freshness, being able to embody Nike's voice and tone.

  • Ability to work on tight timelines, quick changes, and across teams and workstreams, communicating cross-functionally, and collaborating with multiple teams.

  • A strong connection culture sharp focus in Gen Z interests, language, and trends.

  • An attitude of collaboration with a team player mentality.

  • The ability to think big picture while keeping focused on the details—a high level strategic thinker who can zoon in and adapt concepts and tone of voice across all channels.

  • Excellent presentation skills with an ability to summarize ideas eloquently and with confidence.

  • Strong time management with the ability to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to identifying and acting on ways to improve the work.

  • Astute attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality.

  • This role will sit on-site in Los Angeles, CA
