The Client Development Specialist supports the execution of business development and client engagement initiatives for the Technology Industry Group  This role combines strategic support with hands-on implementation, partnering closely with lawyers, Client Development, and cross-functional teams to drive growth, client relationships, and market visibility through the planning and execution of engaging events, including large-scale conferences, bespoke programs, client dinners, webinars, and sponsorship opportunities.

Reporting to the Client Development Manager, the successful candidate will bring familiarity with the technology ecosystem and a client-first mindset, while remaining sufficiently hands-on to deliver results.

What You Will Do:

Lead and Execute Client Events:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of client-facing events including client dinners, conferences, sponsorships, trainings, and webinars in support of business development goals.

  • Manage all event logistics, including venue and vendor coordination, invitations, RSVP tracking, materials, on-site support, and post-event follow-up.

  • Provide backup and on-site support for events and assist with related client development initiatives as needed.

  • Understanding of event, sponsorship, and CRM technologies, with a continuous-improvement mindset.

Sponsorships:

  • Support and guide the coordination of firm participation in industry sponsorships, working with conference organizers to maximize visibility, engagement, and return on investment.

Event Tracking & Metrics:

  • Develop and manage targeted invitation lists in collaboration with attorneys and Client Development leadership.

  • Support attorneys in identifying and maximizing client and prospect touchpoints before, during, and after events.

  • Proactively collect feedback after the event and encourage follow-up activities. Report on return on investment.

  • Collaborate with Market/Competitive Intelligence team to review in-depth research and analysis of clients, prospects and competitors to determine a strategy for client and target outreach.

  • Track event data, attendance, and engagement using the firm’s CRM system; prepare post-event metrics and ROI analysis, and recommend strategies to increase the initiatives’ overall effectiveness.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum BA, BS or equivalent and 4+ of experience in an events or sponsorships role, ideally in a professional services organization.Able to interact with partners, key clients, colleagues and service providers. Highly professional presentation.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-directed and able to manage multiple projects in a matrixed, fast-paced environment is a must.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong analytical skills.

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Dynamics, InterAction or other CRM databases a plus.

  • Occasional travel.

The Target Salary Range For This Position Varies By Location And Is Commensurate With Relevant Experience: Boston & Washington Dc: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 | New York/Los Angeles/Santa Monica: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 | San Francisco & Silicon Valley: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00
