Leads the strategy, operating model, talent lifecycle, technology enablement, performance, and daily execution of paralegal services across a global law firm. Designs practice-specific delivery models, improves workflows and quality, develops managers and career paths, establishes performance metrics, oversees case assistants, drives AI and automation adoption, and partners with attorneys and firm leadership to improve service delivery and scalability.

Supports domestic patent prosecution by preparing and filing USPTO documents, maintaining patent dockets and electronic files, processing official communications, opening and updating matters, conducting conflict checks, and assisting attorneys and clients. The role requires strong organization, communication, technical, analytical, and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment.

Conducts in-depth legal and business research for attorneys and administrative teams, synthesizes findings, advises on research strategies, manages research projects, and evaluates information resources. Develops training curricula, delivers onboarding, monitors legal-industry developments and emerging AI research technologies, maintains newsletters and intranet content, and recommends resource purchases. Requires expert knowledge of legal and business research platforms, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities independently and collaboratively.

Coordinates law-firm audit inquiry responses, including information gathering, disclosure analysis, drafting, deadline management, and collaboration with attorneys and Finance. Supports conflicts clearance by reviewing business intake, conducting conflicts searches, analyzing ethical and business risks, advising stakeholders, researching professional responsibility requirements, and preparing waivers, ethical screens, and engagement language. Also contributes to policy development, training, process improvement, and departmental projects.

Leads Goodwin’s global Client Engagements Center of Excellence, setting strategy, operating models, governance, investment priorities, and measurement frameworks. Oversees a worldwide portfolio of client engagements, events, and sponsorships, connecting relationship-building activities to growth, pipeline, and revenue outcomes. Partners with business development, marketing, technology, and industry teams to improve client experiences, establish scalable standards, drive change adoption, and develop a high-performing global team.

Lead legal project management across complex, high-value matters: build trusted partner relationships, drive matter planning, budgets, and profitability, support client transparency, champion AI/automation and data tools, develop LPM frameworks, and mentor junior team members while embedding LPM firmwide.

Provide administrative and operational support for lateral and law student recruiting: maintain databases, schedule interviews, coordinate candidate communications and visits, assist with recruiting events and the Summer Associate Program, draft offer/declination letters, process expenses, manage onboarding logistics, and ensure positive candidate experience.

The Legal Recruiting Specialist manages the on-campus recruiting process, summer programs, and assists with lateral hiring while ensuring smooth operations for the firm's offices in Los Angeles and Santa Monica.

Support attorneys on complex private investment fund matters including drafting and reviewing formation documents, managing investor onboarding and KYC/AML, coordinating closings and capital calls, maintaining records, assisting with SEC and state filings, researching securities and compliance issues, and liaising with clients and service providers to ensure accurate, timely execution of fund transactions and workflows.

Provide expert legal and business research to attorneys and staff using advanced research tools; advise on research strategy; manage research workflow; develop training, onboarding, newsletters, and intranet content; evaluate and recommend online resources; support continuous learning and Research Services initiatives.

Lead and manage the firm's research function and Research Analyst team to deliver timely, accurate legal, business, and competitive intelligence. Oversee intake, triage, quality review, tool adoption, vendor/subscription coordination, documentation, metrics/reporting, and cross‑functional partnerships to support attorneys and firm initiatives while improving processes and ensuring continuity.
