We are seeking a versatile Sourcing & Analytics Manager to join our procurement team. This unique role is designed for a professional who thrives in both the tactical world of sourcing and the strategic world of business intelligence.
Initially, your time will be split between executing services-related sourcing projects and developing the analytical frameworks necessary to drive data-led decision-making across the department. You will serve as the "translator" between data resources and procurement leadership, ensuring our sourcing strategies are backed by robust, actionable insights.

Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Sourcing: Lead the process of finding, sourcing, and maintaining key external relationships through expert negotiation and craft expertise.
  • Bid Management: Craft and conduct comprehensive bid and evaluation processes including RFI, RFQ, and RFP.
  • Contracting: Structure and negotiate vendor agreements, ensuring high levels of quality, service, and cost alignment.
  • Advisory: Act as an embedded partner to provide best practices for vendor strategy and serve as an escalation point for commercial relationships.
  • Holistic Strategy: Communicate across business units and pillars to find commonality among product teams and develop scalable contractual agreements.
  • Insight Generation: Utilize data and analytics techniques to develop dashboards and reports that aid in executive decision-making, including but not limited to the development and maintenance of a vendor database feeding category analysis and project targeting.
  • Adoption & Training: Engage sourcing staff to increase the application of analytics to new  procurement opportunities
  • Metrics & Success Criteria: Use data guides and metrics to adapt efforts and ensure the satisfaction of internal partners.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study or equivalent experience
  • 6-8+ years experience in category sourcing, ideally within a non-mandated sourcing environment
  • Experience working with procurement users to leverage quantitative analysis and financial/price modeling in decision-making
  • Experience with rollout and training in support of procurement applications or vendor databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data in compelling ways to non-technical business partners
  • Deep procurement domain expertise with the credibility to lead and mentor others
  • Proven ability to foster trust and collaboration with internal customers and external vendors
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction or supervision
Desired Qualifications:
  • Curiosity to explore and implement AI solutions to analytics and visualization needs
  • Experience with services-based contracts in support of creative game development is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc…
  • Experience with collaboration and documentation tools like Notion, Confluence, Airtable, etc..
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work.  Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!

Our Perks:

Riot focuses on work/life balance, shown by our open paid time off policy and other perks such as flexible work schedules. We offer medical, dental, and life insurance, parental leave for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children, and a 401k with company match. Check out our benefits pages for more information.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
