SSummary

The Solutions Engineer will serve as the technical bridge between our Sales, Product and Engineering teams. This role requires a unique blend of customer-facing abilities and engineering skills to effectively demonstrate our product's value, address technical questions, and help close deals.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solutions Support

  • Partner with Account Executives to provide technical expertise during the sales process

  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to prospect and client needs and use cases

  • Address technical questions and concerns from prospects with clear, concise explanations

  • Identify and articulate the technical value proposition of our solutions

Solution Design

  • Analyze customer requirements and design technical solutions that meet their needs

  • Create proof of concepts and technical prototypes to demonstrate solution viability

  • Document custom solutions and implementation approaches for prospects

  • Create proof of concept solutions in Python built on the UniCourt platform

  • Collaborate with product teams to identify potential product enhancements based on customer feedback

Technical Knowledge Management

  • Maintain deep product knowledge and technical expertise

  • Stay current with industry trends, competitive offerings, and technological advancements

  • Develop and maintain technical sales collateral, including demo environments

  • Create and refine technical documentation for customer-facing materials

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, engineering, product, and client success teams both onshore and offshore

  • Communicate customer requirements and feedback to product development teams

  • Assist in scoping and estimating implementation efforts for complex deals

  • Support smooth handoffs to implementation and customer success teams post-sale

Continuous Improvement

  • Track and analyze demo-to-close conversion rates to improve effectiveness

  • Refine demo techniques and sales engineering processes based on outcomes

  • Contribute to the development of sales engineering best practices

Knowledge, Education, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

  • 5+ years of experience in a solutions engineering, technical sales, or similar customer-facing technical role

  • Strong technical background with hands-on development or engineering experience

  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiences

  • Experience with sales processes and understanding of client acquisition strategies

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Flexibility on working times to connect with global teammates

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset

  • Ability to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and events (as needed)

  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and prioritization skills

  • Expected to regularly report into our corporate headquarters or other such locations as needed to foster collaboration, execute organizational priorities, and support product, sales, and marketing initiatives. Frequency will be determined by business needs but will be at a minimum of once per quarter.
