The Opportunity
As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud/data solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business needs, design strategic technical solutions, and provide guidance on cloud/data platform adoption, integration, and optimization. Your expertise will help shape the technical strategy while guiding and elevating the capabilities of engineering teams through mentorship, architecture ownership, and active collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level cloud and/or data platform solutions, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective architectures.
  • Develop and maintain technical infrastructure roadmaps, strategies, and best practices to guide cloud adoption and optimization efforts.
  • Evaluate and select cloud, martech and/or data platforms, services, and tools that align with the company’s technical and business needs.
  • Work with IT and development teams to ensure seamless cloud or data platform migration
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in the implementation of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize cloud and/or data platform resources for cost-effectiveness, performance, and security.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data technologies to ensure the organization leverages the most efficient and secure technical solutions.
  • Document architectural decisions, strategies, and implementation guidelines for future reference.
  • Lead by example, promoting engineering excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coach and upskill team members by providing technical guidance, pair programming, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive cloud and/or data platform governance and security practices to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 3 years focused on cloud and marketing technology architecture and enterprise-level technical solutions.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security principles, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud automation, containerization, and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Proficiency in designing hybrid/multi-cloud and customer data ecosystem architectures.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Strong understanding of networking, databases, storage, and other cloud-native services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and levels of the organization.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Architect) are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with CDPs (SFDC, Treasure Data, HighTouch), ESPs/CMTs (Braze, Iterable) and the overall customer data ecosystem. 
  • Proven track record of implementing complex customer data ecosystems involving big data.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on technical delivery with mentoring and team enablement.
  • Experience guiding cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and product managers, toward a shared technical vision.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in cloud migration projects, including lift-and-shift and cloud-native development.
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
  • Experience in cost optimization and managing cloud budgets.

Salary: $155,000-170,000 + benefits
