Responsibilities:

We are seeking a cloud security architect with a proactive and innovative mindset. In this role, you will be responsible for tasks such as developing frameworks to enhance and secure the solution design and development process, and collaborating with architects and developers to deliver security services.

Required: 

  • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least three of the following: Security Architecture, threat modelling experience, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, penetration testing, cloud security, mobile security, and network security
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, or application security.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Azure Cybersecurity Expert, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and their security features.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud security principles, best practises and industry frameworks (e.g. CSA, CIS, NIST, ISO).
  • Experience in security assessment tools, techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience in integrating security into CI/CD solutions, enabling a secure delivery model (e.g. GitHub Actions).
  • Working knowledge of application security standards such as OWASP.
  • Perform risk analysis leading to the documentation of all risks and mitigating controls within application environments.
  • Understanding of threat models and their function to secure applications and their environments.
  • A good knowledge of security design, around building applications systems.
  • Role model, promotion of a culture of good conduct and contribution to maintaining such a culture.
  • Proactivity, transparency and clear accountability for the determination and management of security and risks.
  • Fast learner and critical thinker with excellent skills in problem solving and presentation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and develop end-to-end architecture for complex software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet project requirements.
  • Create architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation to communicate the solution design to stakeholders.
  • Assist development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, with a strong background in software development.
  • In-depth knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, such as Java, .NET, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
