Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering PMTS in Palo Alto, CA:

Job Duties: Design and code platforms to build the next generation analytics platform to form SQL queries from semantically expressive queries. Provide solutions and APIs for the platform which are expressive of the needs of multiple interfaces for applications.  Build dynamic plans for joins and queries and interfaces with Salesforce data cloud for retrieving the necessary data efficiently. Find out potential issues faced by other engineers, unblock them with proposed solutions and enable the team to perform effectively. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and technical writers to gather and prioritize features and requirements. Contribute to code reviews, designs, and team processes. Play a key role in evolving our codebase by writing clean, efficient and maintainable code which must be well-tested. Troubleshoot issues in technically challenging code (Java) using centralized logs, post mortem debugging, diagnostic tools and other techniques. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required. 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Entertainment Technology, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field, OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Entertainment Technology, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field. 

Special Skill Requirements: (1) object oriented programming, (2) development frameworks; (3) leading cross-functional teams of backend and front end engineers; (3) mentoring developers; (4) testing methodologies and testing frameworks; (5) web standards; (6) agile development methodology; (7) design patterns; (8) concurrency and synchronization; (9) virtualization; (10) container orchestration platforms; (11) infrastructure; (12) low latency databases; (13) ETL/Big data processing pipelines; (14) monitoring ops tools, (15) version control systems; (16) analytical databases; (17) cloud providers. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required. 

Salary: $226,158.00 - $334,600.00 per annum.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $226,158 to $334,600.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
