The Role and Impact:
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of talented software engineers and architects dedicated to developing and validating cutting-edge software solutions for Intel's product segments or technologies. Your leadership will drive the success of software initiatives across the stack, from firmware and drivers to operating systems, applications, and platforms. By fostering collaboration, setting clear goals, and enabling the professional growth of your team, you will ensure high-quality deliverables and a productive, inclusive work environment. Your role will shape the future of Intel's innovative technologies, enabling our customers and partners to build solutions that empower businesses and enrich lives worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers and architects to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Oversee the design, development, validation, debugging, and optimization of software across multiple layers of the technology stack, including firmware, drivers, operating systems, applications, and platforms.
- Define clear objectives, set measurable goals, and foster accountability for team performance.
- Drive execution excellence by managing resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering and product management, to align software development with Intel's strategic objectives.
- Serve as a role model for Intel's values by inspiring trust, developing the capabilities of others, and creating an environment where diverse perspectives are valued.
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs, provide support, and integrate feedback into product improvements.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering and Mathematics
• 20+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of direct people-management experience leading software engineering teams.
• Proven experience delivering complex software products through the full development lifecycle (requirements, design, development, validation, release, and support).
• Strong technical depth in relevant domains such as:
- Systems software
- Firmware
- GPU/graphics software
- AI/ML software
- Cloud or distributed systems
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong C/C++ expertise.
• Experience with device drivers (KMD/UMD).
• Knowledge of graphics APIs such as:
- DirectX
- Vulkan
- OpenGL
• Experience with GPU architecture, compiler technology, runtime software, or graphics stacks.
• Experience working with hardware bring-up, emulation, validation, and silicon enablement.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $271,620.00-383,460.00 USD

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Work Model for this Role
