Duties: Develop mobile applications, write component specifications, and build accessibility compliant apps. Create architecture diagrams based on business requirements and flow charts to design solutions for mobile Android applications. Create reusable components and frameworks that can be testable and promote test-driven development. Contribute to the entire Software and Development Lifecycle (SDLC) of upcoming projects. Contribute to daily standups, backlog refinement, and sprint planning events to discuss daily progress and support delivery. Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards. Support knowledge sharing within the team and across Digital Technology. Participate in defect triage calls with Quality Management team to ensure all requirements have been appropriately met and ensure there are no potential defects that may cause impact. Assist with release validations to ensure key project milestones are identified to mitigate risk before launch to customers. Implement analytics component specifications to identify behavioral analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered, or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Using Android Studio for Android development, debugging, and testing; Building, maintaining, and optimizing Android applications using Kotlin; Building UI with Jetpack compose and using Android's latest UI toolkit; Designing UI layouts, themes, and styles in Android applications using XML; Using Android build script for dependency management, manage libraries, and manage APK generation process; Swift programming for developing maintainable, reusable components and iOS applications; Utilizing SwiftUI for creating custom views, animations, and adopting the latest design trends for a seamless user experience; Using Xcode IDE for app development, debugging, testing, and performance optimization; iOS development lifecycle including app deployment, App store guidelines, and performance tuning; Performing source code management tasks using Source Tree; Managing code with Git, including branching, merging, resolving conflicts, and conducting code reviews; Managing branches, creating PRs, and performing code reviews within Bitbucket for collaborative workflows; Writing Python scripts for automation in Jenkins, setting up debug and release rules, and managing sonar rules for code quality checks; Using Splunk to analyze production issues, review crash report, and interpret data to drive app stability improvements; Writing unit tests using Junit to ensure Android code stability, functionality, and performance; Implementing automated tests for iOS and Android applications using frameworks and tools including Mocki, Roboelectric and Appli; Executing performance tests to optimize application responsiveness, memory usage, and stability; Utilizing Agile methodologies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; Managing Jenkins for build automation, PR Merges, and certification; Integrating REST APIs for communication with backend services; Using Confluence to document processes, architecture, and technical details; Using Jira to Manage tasks, track sprints, and report progress; Interpreting Figma designs, applying color schemes, paddings, spacings, and material UI guidelines provided by design and product teams; Using Unix terminal commands for source control operations, deployment tasks, and other command-line activities including Android specific ADB commands to connect to device, Gradlew to build the applications and Git commands to clone, update, commit, and merge code to the repository related to mobile development.
