Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Java Lead, IT Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Developing applications using Agile SDLC methodology; Designing and developing applications on microservices architecture using Spring Boot; Writing REST specifications; Designing and developing REST web services using JSON as the REST payload; and Designing and developing Java and J2EE-based applications. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Designing event data models using Apache Kafka; Developing applications for event streaming using Apache Kafka; Utilizing AWS Cloud Services, including ECS Faregate, Kubernetes, EKS, SQS, and SNS in applications; Developing unit and component tests using Junit and Powermock; and Deploying and tuning applications on Tomcat. This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: Creating data models for NoSQL databases; Developing applications using NoSQL; and Developing front-end applications using React. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: Writing Linux shell scripts for data processing; Creating build and deploy pipelines using Jenkins; Performing code and configuration management using GIT; and Application containerization using Docker.

Full-Time. Salary: $170,200 - $185,000 per year.
