DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable and resilient systems, high-quality software solutions and production code for business-critical applications, ensuring alignment with architectural and design constraints. Execute technical troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex systems, proactively identifying and resolving hidden issues to maintain operational stability and system reliability. Gather, analyze, and synthesize large and diverse data sets, developing visualizations and reporting tools to support continuous improvement of software applications and business processes. Architect and optimize database solutions, including deploying read replicas and supporting upgrades, to enhance performance, scalability, and data integrity during peak processing periods. Design and implement automation tools to efficiently manage cloud resources, reduce operational costs, and support application resiliency and scheduled inactivity. Contribute to the security and compliance of applications by renewing and deploying certificate authorities, implementing secure payment processing features, and adhering to best practices in application security. Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to deliver scalable technology solutions, participate in communities of practice, and explore new and emerging technologies to drive innovation. Support the full software development life cycle, including system design, application development, deployment, and operational stability, while maintaining coding hygiene and source code management practices. Support cloud-based applications or infrastructure in a professional setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: designing, developing, and maintaining relational databases including Oracle and Postgres, and NoSQL databases including Cassandra; deploying and supporting applications on AWS cloud platform using standard cloud services to ensure reliability and scalability; building event-driven Micro Services. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: developing messaging applications using Kafka. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: designing, developing, and maintaining web applications in a production environment; troubleshooting and resolving technical issues affecting live systems; working with modern programming languages such as Java (version 11 or above) for developing and maintaining software code; applying Core Java concepts, design patterns, multi-threading, exception handling, microservices, and frameworks such as Spring Boot; working within agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security; developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment; developing software applications for the banking domain; and building full-stack applications for the banking domain using technologies including Java, React, Kafka, and Cassandra to deliver real-time visibility into batch and service metrics.

Full-Time. Salary:  $189,592 - $189,592 per year.
