The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

$120,500-$193,500 USD

What You'll Do:
- Contribute to the build and delivery of a robust and reusable platform for asynchronous batch and streaming pipelines for data science.
- Partner with data scientists and machine learning engineers to optimize and streamline the development process.
- Write maintainable, scalable, and performant code that powers some of Chewy's most prominent experiences.
- Help innovate the support process for the in-market, at-scale usage of the models, growing the reliability and decreasing the cost of investigation.
- Contribute to a diverse service infrastructure through the whole lifecycle, from model development and deployment through operation.
- Work in an agile team, using techniques like CI/CD.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or the equivalent work experience.
- Experience in software development using Python.
- Experience with crafting, training, and operating data science models in AWS.
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, deploying, operating, scaling, and evolving distributed systems for a high-volume transaction application in a 24/7 environment!
- Hands-on mentality and willingness to spend a significant percentage of your time writing code, crafting solutions, and debugging tricky issues.
- Solid communication skills and ability to work well in a team-based environment.
- Currently based in or willing to relocate to the Seattle, WA area.
Bonus:
- Experience in e-commerce/retail
- Experience with Java web services (e.g. Spring Boot) or TypeScript
- Experience with Lambdas and Step Function workflows in AWS
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development process
