Our Opportunity:
Chewy seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and collaborative Senior Financial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team, focusing on Cost of Payments. This role will serve as the finance partner for Chewy's cost of payments, working closely with business and analytics partners to understand and influence key cost drivers, including mix and rate dynamics across payment types and providers.
What You'll Do:
  • Act as the primary finance partner for Chewy's Cost of Payments, providing insights into mix, rate, and volume trends, and identifying opportunities to optimize payment costs.
  • Collaborate with business and analytics teams to understand underlying drivers of cost and support data-driven decision making.
  • Develop financial models, trackers, and reporting templates from scratch to support weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Partner with the analytics and data engineering teams to design and develop data tables that enable detailed querying and automated reporting of payment cost metrics.
  • Support on the financial modeling of new investment opportunities and deep analysis of existing initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally with the broader Chewy finance team, product team, and accounting to fully understand the ins and outs of cost of payments
  • Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual planning processes
  • Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Need:
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Management
  • 2-3 years relevant finance experience with a basic understanding of GAAP and grasp of financial statements
  • Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Advanced Excel (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Ability to think creatively, self-start, work independently, deal with ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines / prioritize changing workloads
  • A proactive mindset, taking responsibility for tasks and seeing them through to completion
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with SQL coding

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
Base Salary Range
$95,500-$152,500 USD
