As a Software Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative software solutions that enhance our aerospace products and services. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with experienced engineers and gaining hands-on experience in software development. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our aerospace solutions by developing high-quality software that meets customer needs and industry standards.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.  Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.    


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications for aerospace systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement software solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes
  • Travel: up to 10%

 


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Academic, internship, project or professional experience in software engineering/development
  • Strong understanding of programming languages such as embedded C++, Java, or Python
  • Experience with software development tools and methodologies, including version control systems
  • Familiarity with software testing and debugging techniques

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in software development
  • Experience in aerospace software development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for technology and innovation.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
