Design and develop a user-facing decentralized application at Gauntlet, focusing on enhancing user experiences and collaborating with teams.
Gauntlet leads the field in quantitative research and optimization of DeFi economics. We manage market risk, optimize growth, and ensure economic safety for protocols facilitating most spot trading, borrowing, and lending activity across all of DeFi, protecting and optimizing the largest protocols and networks in the industry. As of April 2025, Gauntlet manages risk and incentives covering over $42 billion in customer TVL.
Gauntlet continually publishes cutting-edge research that informs our risk models, alerts, and analysis, and is among the most cited institution — including academic institutions — in terms of peer-reviewed papers addressing DeFi as a subject. Gauntlet App:
Join a newly formed product pod focused on the Gauntlet App — our next-generation dApp that allows users to deposit and withdraw into vaults directly. This role is part of a critical initiative to evolve our dashboard into a product directly connected to revenue. You'll be working on a high-impact project tightly aligned with Gauntlet’s core strategy, helping build a robust, user-facing experience at the heart of our business.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain a seamless user experience for Gauntlet's decentralized application, ensuring a consistent interface across various vaults and protocols.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers to implement new features that enhance user engagement and streamline interactions with the treasury management platform.
- Lead code and design reviews, offering constructive feedback and fostering a culture of high coding standards and best practices within the team.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in blockchain technology and DeFi protocols to drive innovation and improve the platform's functionality.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and user guides to support both internal teams and end-users.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects, ensuring the application operates efficiently and reliably while meeting user needs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on full stack engineering.
- Proficient in TypeScript and React; experience with Next.js is a plus.
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology and DeFi protocols, with a willingness to deepen knowledge in these areas.
- Proven ability to design and implement user-centric applications, emphasizing seamless user experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset for working in a distributed team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on building robust, tested systems.
- Experience with version control systems (i.e., git) and familiarity with agile development methodologies
Bonus Points
- Experience with decentralized applications (dApps) and on-chain interactions.
- Familiarity with financial technology (fintech) products and user experiences.
- Previous work on applications that handle monetary transactions or sensitive user data.
- Knowledge of TypeScript and Next.js, particularly in building scalable web applications.

The national pay range for this role is $165,000 - $205,000 plus additional On Target Earnings potential by level and equity in the company. Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for a company of our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
