ROLE

The N-Tech Software Engineering team plays a vital role in developing internal solutions to streamline employee productivity. Our goal is to make employees' daily activities frictionless and nurture their overall experience, subsequently saving Netflix time and money.

ABOUT YOU

You are an individual who thrives on independence, has a passion for creating high-quality products, and can form close work partnerships with engineers, product managers, and designers. You are adept at problem-solving, enjoy a challenge, and have experience building scalable, high-performing applications. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and, most importantly, you have experience as a full-stack developer designing workforce solutions that increase collaboration and efficiency of our enterprise applications. 

In this role, you'll help shape our strategy and vision to develop a streamlined support and user experience for the Netflix Workforce.  You’ll be a part of the team chartered with elevating the collaboration and user experience of our workforce by providing customized solutions for Enterprise applications and services. You'll design, develop, and maintain products, infrastructure, and integrations with third-party and other teams’ services. You will collaborate effectively with myriad teams and communicate technical ideas persuasively. You influence and shape team and project direction through effective partnerships across the entire company to save Netflix time and money and enhance productivity for the whole workforce.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate fully integrated solutions across build/buy that provide seamless end-to-end product experiences.

  • Influence broad support strategy and vision for internal enterprise applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline our support technology communications and tooling. 

  • Apply AI and GenAI responsibly to solve enterprise problems for the whole company.

  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure for modern integration methods between our applications, third-party services, and other Netflix teams' services.

  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, other engineers, stakeholders, and vendors on projects within the team and across all of Netflix.

  • Communicate technical ideas and work closely with other senior members of the team.

  • Design, build, and maintain responsive, accessible web interfaces using React, paired with scalable backend services that expose secure RESTful/GraphQL APIs and implement BFF patterns for optimized frontend integration.

  • Drive full-stack architecture and code quality through rigorous testing, thoughtful design reviews, and scalable engineering practices that ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability across the stack.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experienced software engineer with a strong full‑stack background, comfortable working across modern web frontends and backend services.

  • Demonstrable ability to lead a project and deliver an end product on time, at quality

  • Comfortable working with distributed systems / cloud environments and troubleshooting complex, service‑oriented architectures.

  • Skilled in integrating AI into the design and development of software applications to enhance functionality and solve complex problems.

  • Solid experience with backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python), building and consuming APIs (REST and/or GraphQL), and working with databases.

  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools and a track record of shipping high‑quality, well‑tested code.

  • Iterative and data‑informed, using experiments, prototypes, and insights to navigate ambiguity and refine solutions.


Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $250,000.00 - $413,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
