Role Overview:

Could you be our next Social Media Strategist? Globe Life is looking for a Social Media Strategist to join the team!

 

The Social Media Strategist is a guide for social media strategy development and implementation with Divisional leaders, agency owners, social media administrators and field agents. They need to be able to communicate with people of all experience levels, both at an agent and business owner level, in a clear concise manner to help them understand social media best practices.  

 

This position includes nationwide travel using public presentation skills to teach insurance professionals how to optimize and effectively use social media. The Social Media Strategist will be the Company’s brand voice, instructing on consistency, and explaining the value of recommended social media practices as directed by Sales and Marketing leadership. They will assist in the management of marketing assets like Google Business listings, Birdeye profiles and microsites. 

 

This is a remote / work from home position.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Nationwide travel to various locations to focus on teaching how to implement effective social media strategies and/or event support. 
  • Occasional international travel for major company events to provide support. 
  • Be an outgoing culture ambassador to foster positive brand reputation and engagement. 
  • Work closely with other members of the Marketing Team to coordinate social media strategies at a corporate, agency and individual level. 
  • Effectively present brand standards and capabilities of Google Business listings, Birdeye profile, microsites, and social media pages. 
  • Proactively stay on top of latest content requirements and trends in social media. 

 

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in social media, graphic design, or digital marketing from four-year college or university. 
  • Must have 1-2 years of professional experience in social media design and/or account management. 
  • Must possess a passion for social media and digital marketing industry. 
  • Must enjoy frequent travel. 
  • Must be an outgoing public presenter. 
  • Effective communicator with management and other team members. 
  • Show enthusiasm and initiative when taking on new projects. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple assignments. 
  • Strong proofreading and writing skills are required with attention to detail. 
  • Thrive working under pressure. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint and Excel. 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere and/or video editing experience is a plus. 
  • Experience with social media management (ex. Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout, etc.) and online reputation platforms (ex. Birdeye, Talkwalker, Google My Business, etc.) is a plus. 
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish, is a plus.
