Do you live and breathe social media? Are you passionate about creating content, sparking conversations, and building communities — and would love doing it for a brand as much as you do for yourself? Uncle Arnie’s is looking for a Social Media Manager  to join our growing organization and team who’s creative, strategic, and culture-obsessed — someone who thrives on trends, storytelling, and meaningful engagement that drives connection and excitement.

In this role, you’ll help shape and grow Uncle Arnie’s social presence across key platforms through content creation, community management, and data-driven insights. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing and creative teams to develop engaging, on-brand content, strengthen our community, and drive awareness, engagement, and sales across both retail and eCommerce channels.

Reporting to the VP of Digital Marketing and eCommerce, the Social Media Manager Manager will play a key role in driving and growing our social media accounts by implementing strategies and tactics that enhance our brand visibility, grow our following, engage with our target audience, and drive customer acquisition and loyalty through strategic organic social media campaigns. Primary responsibilities include content creation, community engagement, project coordination, influencer coordination, supporting paid social media initiatives, and data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Content Creation & Execution
    • Develop and manage a creative content calendar across key platforms (Meta, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, LinkedIn).
    • Create and post engaging, on-brand organic content that builds community and drives conversation.
    • Support broader brand and eCommerce marketing initiatives through social content.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure brand consistency and creative alignment.
    • Use a mix of formats (video, photo, graphics) to drive reach and engagement.
    • Work with creators and influencers to develop authentic, brand-aligned content.
    • Stay flexible and comfortable adapting to quick-turn projects and emerging trends.
  • Community Management
    • Engage with followers daily — responding to comments, messages, and tags in a timely, on-brand way.
    • Encourage and share user-generated content (UGC) to strengthen community connection.
    • Build relationships with fans, creators, and industry partners, representing the brand authentically.
    • Collaborate with internal team members to create behind-the-scenes and storytelling content.
    • Monitor conversations and trends within the cannabis and beverage space to inform content and strategy.
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Track and report on engagement, reach, and follower growth using social analytics tools.
    • Summarize performance insights and recommend improvements to guide future content.
    • Keep marketing leadership updated on key takeaways from performance and community trends.

Required Skill Sets and Experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing social media and creating content for a brand.
  • Strong understanding of digital storytelling, brand voice, and audience engagement.
  • Skilled with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and social analytics dashboards (e.g., Meta Business, Sprout Social).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for social media, creativity, and emerging trends.
  • Positive, proactive, and adaptable mindset; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Some experience or interest in cannabis, beverage, or CPG industries preferred, including knowledge of how to navigate cannabis-related content and its challenges as it relates to social media and brands.
  • Must be 21+ years old.

What’s in it for you?

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans
  • FREE basic life insurance
  • Unlimited PTO
  • $50/month phone reimbursement
  • Generous referral bonuses
  • Competitive base compensation with performance incentives
  • Opportunity for career growth in one of the fastest-growing segments of the cannabis industry
  • Collaborative team culture with mentorship and training

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
