Men in Blazers is the No. 1 Soccer Media Network in the U.S. With a wide reach and a diverse, vocal fan base, we engage with teams, players, celebrity fans, and brands we love to share our passion for soccer across the nation. Using humor, emotion, intelligence, and to-the-minute pop cultural aptitude, we provide fans with unique content that breaks down the biggest stories in the game in ways that are authentic, meaningful, and compulsively entertaining.

We are looking for an amazing human being to drive our social media efforts, which includes promoting our various owned and operated channels as well as working with our brand partners to maximize reach engagement.

Social Media Coordinator - VAMOS:

Location: United States, Remote - East Coast Preferred

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day tactical social strategy for VAMOS’ brands (e.g. The Give N Go, Duel Nats) and channels (e.g. Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X), ensuring every post channels our unique voice of passion, empathy, courage, and joy.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of the VAMOS social media calendar across both real-time (match days, tournaments, live events, etc), and pre-programmed content (episodic releases, partner commitments).
  • Produce “thumb-stopping” original content, inclusive of sharp, culturally resonant copy and creating high-impact visual assets that channel the voice and tone of our platform.
  • Monitor real-time global soccer news so that when a story breaks in Liga MX or MLS, you can be the first to respond and adapt it with a perspective that only VAMOS can provide.
  • Daily monitoring and active engagement with VAMOS communities, turning followers into loyal fanatics.
  • Coordinate with leadership to create analytics reports on what content is/isn’t working and generating insights to optimize content for reach and engagement.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a high-growth social media role with strong preference for soccer-specific and/or sports newsroom-like environment.
  • Native or professional-level fluency in Spanish and English. You’re not just able to translate, you deeply understand the cultural nuances that differentiate fans across the Americas.
  • You can flex as a producer/editor hybrid, with proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop and strong skillz with mobile-first tools like CapCut.
  • An encyclopedic knowledge of the global game, with a specific obsession for the narratives of futbol from the Americas (CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, MLS, Liga MX, Copa Libertadores).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that mirrors the futbol calendar, including nights and weekends.
  • An innate sense of “vibes” - you know what’s trending on social media and why, and you know how to translate that back to a VAMOS-specific futbol audience.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
