Your Role

Sans is on a mission to build the next great consumer hardware brand, with a focus on products that help people live healthier lives at home. We started with a category-leading air purifier and expanded into a best-in-class countertop water purifier—and we’re just getting started.

ium is a growing consumer brand focused on helping people build better daily rituals through thoughtful products, education, and lifestyle-driven storytelling.

We’re a small, ambitious team that moves fast, learns quickly, and consistently outperforms much larger competitors. Across both Sans and ium, brand is how we build trust, differentiation, and long-term demand. It defines how we speak, what we stand for, and how customers experience us across every touchpoint.

The Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator will help bring the social content strategy for both ium and Sans to life across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social channels. This role is focused on producing static and short-form video content, supporting day-to-day social execution, and helping maintain a consistent content engine across two distinct brand profiles.

This role will report to the Associate Director of Brand Amplification and work closely with the Creative Director to execute against defined content calendars, campaign priorities, and brand vision.

This is a hands-on creative production and coordination role. The strategy exists. We need someone who can make it real, consistently and with quality. You’ll work across educational content, product storytelling, lifestyle moments, founder/team content, trend-driven content, and social-first creative, using tools like Canva, CapCut, and other AI-assisted creative tools.

The ideal candidate is a natural creator who already makes things on their phone, has a strong visual eye, understands what performs on short-form platforms, and is excited to support two growing consumer brands. They should be detail-oriented, highly organized, self-directed, and excited to help build a content engine from the ground up.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Create static posts, carousels, and story cards in Canva, following brand templates and visual guidelines for both Sans and ium
  • Edit and produce short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) using CapCut and similar editing tools
  • Produce a high volume of weekly content across both brands, from brief through final asset delivery
  • Adapt and repurpose content across formats and platforms (turning a static post into a Reel, reformatting a Reel for TikTok, etc.)
  • Film social-first content, including product shots, lifestyle clips, b-roll, behind-the-scenes moments, and trend-based videos. You’ll occasionally appear on camera for quick demos or talking-head clips.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Amplification team on weekly content planning, creative direction, and performance review
  • Source and organize visual assets, b-roll, product footage, and UGC for use across content
  • Stay current on social trends, audio, and formats, and proactively bring ideas to the team
  • Support content shoots by prepping shot lists, gathering props and products, capturing behind-the-scenes content, and organizing final assets
  • Help maintain a consistent brand look and voice across all platforms and content types
  • Pull basic performance data to flag what’s working and contribute to weekly reporting

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience:
    • Comfortable in front of the camera, with the ability to film yourself, capture content independently, and create social-first video assets
    • Demonstrated experience with Canva (required): comfortable building posts, carousels, and templates from scratch or from a brand kit
    • Experience creating and editing short-form video content using CapCut, InShot, or similar mobile/desktop editing tools
    • Portfolio or examples of social content you've created (personal brand, client work, or freelance all count)
    • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts as a creator, not just a consumer
    • Experience adapting content across multiple platforms and formats while maintaining brand consistency
    • Experience with or willingness to learn AI-assisted creative tools (e.g., ElevenLabs, HeyGen) is a plus
    • Interest in wellness, home products, DTC brands, or health-related content is a plus but not required
  • Interpersonal:
    • Strong visual eye and attention to detail: you care about alignment, type hierarchy, and making things look clean
    • Self-directed and reliable: ability to take a content brief or idea and turn it into a finished asset without heavy hand-holding
    • Communicative and organized: comfortable working in a fast-moving, small-team environment where priorities can shift
    • Creative and curious: you actively consume and study content on social platforms and have opinions about what works and why
    • Excitement for startups and building something from the ground up

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
